His pursuit has been solid. I think it's really bad to scrutinize an edge rusher in a six-man front. An NFL defense fielding two DLmen on most plays is gonna look bad up front, no matter who the edge rusher is. I like that Dom has him stunting more to create matchup variables, but still doesn't make up for the 5-on-4 pass rushes when there is never a decision forced on the OL.

I think both ought to be kept. The OL, front-7, and secondary are really only going to get help through the draft anyway. GB is always going to have a tough time bringing in FAs. It's crucial to hold onto skill players under 30 with speed.

That said, Cobb's injury is a tough one where guys take a year after surgery to start looking "back to normal". I think both Jordy and Cobb are restricted after 2014, so there is time to make those decisions on how healthy they are at that time.

Extending Jordy now would be important, though, if you're picking one of the two for whom to do so. I don't mind extending both, only if Cobb's new deal doesn't re-structure 2014 and is incentive-laden; his body requires that attachment to a deal, but, of course, the price for that may have to be a longer-term deal to spread some bonus.

I wasn't suggesting we should get rid of either Jordy or Cobb. Just saying it's not clear to me who's better, in response to someone saying Rodgers and Nelson are the only playmakers on the team.
