If we claim him off waivers wouldn't we assume his Buffalo contract? Which was presumably at the league minimum.

After the Bears lost the Superbowl I saw two grown men cry in each others arms at the bar for so long the girls they were with left. They stayed for another half hour crying.

I felt a bit bad for them and didn't get personal enjoyment out of it. Does that make me a bad sports fan?

I think it just makes you a not jealously fueled rage consumed sports fan.

Bears deserve credit for having their backup ready. He played a a good game. Trestman deserved a lot of credit. Wallace is a dink and dunk QB who I never thought fit in with the Packers offensive schemes. McCarthey should welcome Flynn with open arms. We'll see soon enough.

Ended our season? I hope my bookie doesn't find out about the Packers season being over, because he has them as the 4th favorite to win NFC and 6th favorite to win Super Bowl. You would think if our season was over we would be a little closer to 32nd favorite to win the SB than the 1st.

I don't live in Green Bay, but I have been to several games and the town is always rockin' on game days. Most of Chicago is dirty so I'm not sure how it qualifies as world class.

Ughhh.... the packers season is over and now I am so upset I want to attempt to throw away money in a bet...

I am willing to take the Packers vs the Bears in a bet where there is only a payout if one of the two teams makes it to the Super Bowl. $100 or so? If that team wins the SB the payout is double or 3x too.

Would definitely accept any bet where non Super Bowl is a push and then a bears vs packers last longer. Will bet up to 1k on packers. Lets see if "end our season boy" puts his money where his mouth is.

Rodgers is out for 3 weeks. We could easily win 1/3 vs the next 3 opponents. This isn't the worst thing to ever happen. It's bad but it's manageable.

Still a good chance he's out the whole season tho

Where are you getting that information? Good chance? That seems incorrect. Slim chance, sure. But it sounds like he doesn't need surgery, which right away puts the timetable on his return on the lower end.

No surgery to fix a collarbone fracture doesn't mean that much.

Packers.com reporting fractured clavicle, week to week. I seriously doubt there's a "good chance" he's out for the season.

Well, considering that is good news and likely true. I'll just point out that that report came out like 10 minutes ago and all we had to go on before that was 'significant injury' and 'fractured collarbone'.

ETA: lolwat?

“I’m relieved, no doubt,” McCarthy said. “How long? We don’t have our hands around the timeline yet. I know Aaron is very optimistic and he’ll do everything he can to get back in a timely fashion.”

Apparently Rodgers’ optimism is such that McCarthy wouldn’t officially rule him out for Sunday’s home game against Philadelphia,
Like I'm not sure how you could come back the next week with a fracture there, even if it's slight/hairline. Take a week to heal brah.

Hi,

I flew to Milwaukee to visit a friend. We bought tickets to the green bay game. Any advice for parking and tailgating? Neither of us have been to a packers game before; I'm from Los Angeles and he is relatively new to Wisconsin.

We'd like to park somewhere we could do a little grilling if possible. We already have game tickets but nothing re parking. Any advice is greatly appreciated!! (times to arrive, locations, proper etiquette, etc). I'm really looking forward to being at a packers game in person.

The spread for tomorrows game is 1 point so I think GB can definitely win >0 games while AR is out.

Expect everyone in the lot to be drinking and grilling. Have to get there early for that. By early, I mean in a few hours actually. Otherwise, park in people's yards (you'll see) or I usually choose a church lot for ten bucks within a mile's walk. Easy out to I43. Nothing beats the atmosphere in GB on football Sundays. The town literally shuts down and becomes a giant party. If you don't mind the price on memorabilia or gear, check out the pro shop within the atrium. Inside Lambeau. Also great to just walk around, see a few historic things, etc. The GB fans are friendly towards anyone, even fans of the opposing team. At least in my experiences. I've been to about 50 games in my life (family has season tickets). Enjoy everything you can! See you there? Lol. Let us know how it goes for you.

Haha see you there! Thanks so much for the info. We are bringing a little grill and a couple items. We plan to arrive a couple hours early. It sounds like a great atmosphere!

The season is nearly lost. I don't see Rodgers coming back for a few weeks and by that time they could be 5-6. About their only chance to win a game without Rodgers is the Minnesota game and even that's a stretch.

Only chance is they do win the Minnesota game to go 6-5 and then Rodgers comes back on Thanksgiving. But then they'll have to beat Detroit and Chicago on the road and they just won't do that with Tolkien or whatever this guy's name is. Seneca Wallace isn't the answer either.

And McCarthy could stop throwing on 3rd and 1 when he has a 3rd string QB and a top 3 rushing attack. Crosby and the secondary are still atrocious, Rodgers masked the team's holes.

Lol yeah it's a bitter sweet feeling. It's nice confirming Rodgers is the best QB to play this game but also sucks our season was lost due to injuries.
