This may be a stupid question, but with 1 out and assume an average hitter in the box, is it better to have runners on 2nd and 3rd, or bases loaded? It seems like the EV you gain from a runner on first isn't that big, the outcome is the same for any semi-deep fly ball, and any single, but the double play possibilities hurt the EV of the bases loaded situation somewhat. Am I overthinking it, or is it actually very close between bases loaded and men on 2nd and 3rd?
This is the first time in forever that I totally zoned out the Tigers for the Red Wings. I seen it was in a rain delay and didnt get the Tiger game on until we were up in the 9th.
lol @ not giving Everett the take sign every single pitch. I remember one of my coaches in LL would give our terrible hitters the take sign a lot on 3-2 pitches. It was insane how +ev this was. I think the same applies to Everett.
