Really don't understand not playing Santos today. Leyland just said Avila is beat up more than anybody knows...He's an auto out, literally, an auto out. We have JV going, and probably will win, why not give him today off so he can get 2 full days of rest going into TEX?

but teams dont run that much on him anyway. I have no idea about Santos' defense, so maybe defense would be a push.

I just think that having the SP be happy outweighs the slight bump in offense Santos might bring.

JV went 24-5 with Avila, let him go a few more.
