That game was sick, remember it like it was yesterday. Miles ****ed them up.

That being said I expect this to be won on the last drive by whoever has the ball.

I think this game will go a bit slower on the scoreboard than the last one. The O/U is like 46 IIRC, sounds about right. O-line is going to have their hands full.

How Dez does against Flowers is my big concern. I'm not sure he's getting doubled considering the problems they figure to have elsewhere with Miles and so on. If Dez can beat him enough I think they'll do okay.

Ready to see some running games today, but I can see that not going well for either team.

I'm thinking this is a 24-20 type of game myself.

Well a NYG loss tonight would take at least a little of the suck away. WAS at least had the decency to be the only team to put up a conference loss.

Man that run game was awful. The support could have been better but at some point Murray has to beat the defense. Dunbar now with another fumble and his position as the #2 wasn't very secure to begin with. Both of those turnovers were bad. Sloppy game on offense.

Standard mediocre football. Some good. Some bad.

Beat Flowers deep, possible (but not certain) TD, Romo beautiful throw, Dez just dropped.

Absolutely can't beat Dez up on this game though. He did his part against a very good defender. Austin got himself covered all day by a nobody. Witten was a non-factor. Murray was a contributing receiver but did nothing rushing.

totally abandoned the run. Murray went for 25 on 12 carries, lol.

Yeah Dez played great outside of the drop. The opi on him was a joke too, that was worth 30 yards or so.

Play calling in the red zone and on 3rd down in general was pretty weak. Why the hell are they doing WR screens to Williams on 3rd and long? Hardly ever seemed to be calling plays to get enough yardage.

Complete lack of a run game was frustrating. Stupid fumbles. Thought it was dumb to kick the FG even though it was 4th and 10 too.

Defense played well enough. Not sure I agree with the big dpi on Claiborne on the chiefs last drive either.

^^pretty much agree with all of that. Bruce Carter had an awful game.

I'm going to have to see more out of Murray pretty soon. He doesn't have all that much built-up equity as a starter to have a lock on the #1 role. The other three backs are all in the doghouse lately too. Randle doesn't look ready, and both Tanner and Dunbar have had some awful mistakes when given opportunities.

Which goes back to the question of why they're carrying four. If you're not running enough and you don't have four quality backs, why waste the roster spot?

What do you want Murray to do when there's guys in the backfield and the oline gets no push. I get the desire to establish a run game but I think this offense, especially with this line, would be better off using the pass to open up the run.

The line had problems but Murray missed open lanes on a couple of plays yesterday and it's not the first time. He's got the physical talent but I'm not sure the criticisms about his lack of vision are wrong. (Those go back to his draft days). Julius Jones was like that, so was Felix. Good backs consistently adjust, sometimes outside, occasionally beat a linebacker, etc.

There were worse run-blocking lines than Dallas' last year yet some had respectable production, in most cases those with a featured back. Matt Forte, or Carolina's guys, they were productive. And unlike Murray they get their stats hobbled by a larger number of 3rd-and-short and goal-line carries. Plenty to pick apart on the o-line particularly Frederick on rightward, but on rewatch Murray was bad on his own.

In fact all Murray has ever done is that sick 4-game stretch back in 2011. Subtract that and the rest of his career (when healthy) doesn't look like much. Definitely starting to wonder whether he's actually a true #1 back or whether he's just been the best of a weaker bunch. I do like his receiving skills and he seems like a good soldier at least.

But another stinker like that and they're going to have to get a rotation going. Fumbles or not, there's three other backs that haven't got much of a look. I mean all 4 backs are probably in the doghouse. Randle isn't ready but so far this year Tanner and Dunbar have a carry each, and probably aren't going to fumble every play. This is supposed to be a big year for Murray but I'm only willing to give him so much benefit of the doubt before I need to see something.

Kind of baffled that a healthy Austin could be such a ghost in that game, specially when Dez was drawing 2 bodies. Gotta wonder how much worse the team would be minus Austin/Murray money. Probably not that much worse.

Dez was single covered by Flowers from what I saw most of the time by Flowers. But there was a third-rate corner out there to. Miles should have had a big game, or I guess Williams in that case. They really didn't pick on the weak spots too well. Dez murdered Brandon Flowers. I mean I think Flowers is actually dead now.
