I don't think you are weighting that this team got blown out by Jacksonville and struggled against Oakland, Tennessee, and Tampa Bay. There's a ton of parity, winning on the road is hard. Gordon's a beast but what shape is he in right now? He's out of sync with Hoyer as well.

The Cleveland Plain Dealer thinks Josh Gordon will be "ready to unload" when he comes off suspension against the Falcons Week 12.

Gordon has been allowed at the team facility during his latest suspension, lifting weights and staying in shape. Beat writer Mary Kay Cabot says he's been "working really hard." Gordon is not permitted at practice, but this is an All-Pro player that should have a very smooth transition back into the gameplan.

Hoyer through nine games has three comebacks including three game winning drives.
He led browns back against the Vikings last year as well. Small sample, but dude is ICE COLD!!!!11!1

Pettine's in game management seems excellent relative to league average.
So far, he is ICE COLD!!!!!11!1 as well when it matters.
This plus the defense rounding into form (can they stop the run tho) gives one reason for optimism going forward.

Fairly certain Gordon and Hoyer are familiar with each other's tendencies. And that Gordon will come back with something to prove. Regardless, I firmly believe that Gordon is the kinda guy that can just step onto the field and perform at a very high level. As he did last year... He's had nothing to do now for 3 months besides not smoke pot, workout, and study the playbook. And he's likely been dissecting film of Houston's secondary the entire time. I really don't think this is me just being a homer either. Gordon will be a game changer from the gate. He's the kind of guy who's presence changes spreads 5 points.

Hoyer and Gordon really haven't played that much together. Hoyer was out most of last year, wasn't even the starter in camp last year. Last year Gordon was at least at camp. It's a bit different. Was he even banned from facilities last year? I expect a small amount of rust that needs to be polished. But look out week 17.

He's going to play at a high level, but he's only one part of the equation.

Out of luck. But I'd happily take 6-4 before we get our biggest free agent acquisition of the year.

We don't commit to Hoyer unless he improves down the stretch right?

Treating Hoyer like anything more than a crutch until something better comes along or an excellent backup is a mistake. No idea if that something better is Manziel or someone else, but can't see him being the difference maker.

Welp, Karlos Dansby out "upwards of a month," Jabaal Sheard likely done for the year ala Phil Taylor and Armonty Bryant. I bet the only rb Browns hold to <8ypc the rest of the way will be Trich, and maybe whichever rusher pops out of the panthers backfield clowncar that sunday.

It was fun while it lasted.

Next year!

makes me feel good that the coaching staff has the pull to do that after the front office signed him this off season.

if everything I've heard about his whining about lack of playing time is true, the need for a 3rd string rb isn't worth it.

MO CRO SHOW PLS
