According to Clayton they have to put in a claim to keep the Chiefs from putting in claim. Orton may threaten the Chiefs with not reporting if they claim him. So if KC knows the Bears have put in a claim they may not put one in. We will find out soon.
No Kyle Orton for the Bears in 2011. Plenty of Josh McCown apparently for the Bears.

I hope he refuses to report and Haley gets fired.

Although I'm really fine with Hanie going 3-1 before Cutler comes back for the Green Bay game.

If we can't go 3-3 down this stretch with or without Cutler, we wouldn't be going deep anyways.

Really, the Oakland game is the only one that really scares me. And yes, I've already written off Christmas Day as a loss, no one's beating the Pack until maybe the playoffs.

Well, writing off Green Bay, if we lose to Oakland we have to go 3-1 in the other four just to go 3-3 and have a (decentish) shot at the playoffs, but going 3-1 over four games is never an easy task in the NFL, and @Denver and @Minnesota are still tough games even if those teams aren't very good.

I don't know why, but I've got a good feeling about the Oakland game. And I probably shouldn't...Palmer's starting to look good, Michael Bush has activated beast mode, Oakland's always a tough place to play and ldo it's Hanie's first ever NFL start. I don't know why, I just feel like we're going to win on Sunday.

Hoping to avoid eating the ol' crow pie itt around 8 o'clock after the game.

Also, locking up the 5th seed and playing Dallas in the wild card round is the ideal route, it has to be.

im really not worried about hanie. i think he will do fine. he's one of the better backup qbs in the league. i think he will throw for like 200, 1td, 1int this week or somewhere around that ballpark.

i'm also not really dreading hanie, he hung tough when he got in in mega crunch time last year.

i think he'll do alright. bitching and whining ain't bringing cutler back for now, time to just hunker down and hope for the best.....(1 def and 1 st touchdown apiece plz)

Going to the Oakland game, maybe in my Payton jersey. If I'm never heard from again after this Sunday, well, that's what happened.

One more for good measure.

Excited to see Hanie. And I guess we'll start to find out how good Jay has been. Hope the line holds up with Caleb.

I am starting to get a bit of a 2006-magic vibe (ridic Hester, some Offense, win streaks) so let's keep it going.

Bear F***ing Down. LET'S TAKE THIS ONE!

I don't think the season is by any means over if the Bears lose this game, but if the Bears WIN this game, I think it basically wraps up the WC spot. Bear down motha****as

What a s*** start.

Team looks like crap. 35 yards of penalties in half a quarter. O isn't helping Hanie. And he just made a terrible decision on the pick forced to Forte.

Godamn.

Well this game is over, and the season is pretty much over unless Cutler has absolutely no rust when he comes back which I find unlikely.

Bears will donk out a win or two in the next 3 and we'll have a WC sweat for Xmas and the new years game. Such a disappointment that is best case.
