This team's true record has to be like 1-6 after this game. This is almost unwatchable. Also, is it time to start talking about how badly Denver fleeced us in the Cutler deal? I'm not insulting anyone, I was so happy with that deal; it seemed we finally had a real quarterback when in fact we sent one to Denver.

Knox's performance today is one of the most irritating I've ever witnessed, for all the props he gets from the press he has given up on all kinds of throws, even the ball that just hit Landry's helmet only did so because Knox got alligator arms on a third down with seven minutes left. Sigh.

Of course we can still win, but my God we are not winners.

Edit: The Charles Tillman punch is the best defensive move since Deacon Jones' punch.

We've been talking about this for the last year and a half in Denver.

so if lovie benches players for their performance on the field can someone bench him until he learns when to challenge??

Sure, but a couple of things.

1) Many in Denver hate Jay Cutler and are incapable of rationally examining his value because of issues they have with his personality. That isn't to insult Denver in particular, but sports fans in general.

2) Denver may have gotten the better end of the trade even if Cutler was as good as the Bears expected him to be. But not by that much. The fleecing, if it occurred, is because Cutler just isn't that good. Now, you could say that Denver fans knew this eighteen months, but I doubt it.

Cutler's 08 season probably overrated him, but you're underrating him he had a pretty awful half today and that's on him, but the bears really have absolutely nothing going for them besides Cutler on that side of the ball

as long as teams can pressure him easily without having to jeopardize their coverage, it's going to be pretty tough on him, the difficulty only increases when they have no running game and below average wide receivers

today is on him, the redskins came out strong first, but cutler/martz figured out how to avoid the passrush and they showed 3-4 times they could drive down the field and they just couldn't finish any drives, the 1st fumble up 14-10 on the 1 was the killer, i hate to sound like jetto but if they just finish that drive it's a whole new ballgame

bears showed a lot of good things today especially defensively, heartbreaking game but i think they look good going forward they just have to learn how to finish drives/not make awful mistakes

best case scenario we end the first half 5-3 if we beat buffalo. I just don't see many wins we can count on beyond that. As we play vikesx2, ne, gb, jets, eagles, fish.

Yup, we would have to play lights out a few games to get to 8 wins. We blew it pretty hardcore. So sick how many chances our team gets every game

hate how everytime cutler does somethin stupid he walks sllowly off the field with his head all the way down to the ground. His confidence is just destroyed imo..he needs to hire the mind coach from phil hellmuth if u ask me. He's still a really talented quarterback and I still believe in him 'cause im a fan

That's all we need: Cutler with Hellmuth-style blowups.

After he has another 4+ pick game: "Who are these people?! Don't they know who I am?".

Hey, it could be worse. I remember the sick gloating of Broncos fans last year after they went 6-0 (courtesy of McDaniels selling his soul). They've gone 4-14 since. So, yeah. At least we aren't the Broncos.

And the Vikings are losing, and imploding. We only need to take on the injury-riddled Packers. And if we beat them in Lamblow the sweep would be huge.

If we lose to the unwon Bills though... Even then we probably get a new coach.

This season is win-win.

It's not impossible the week off allows Martz Offense to reevaluate. It didn't really suck until the last two weeks. And that's with musical chairs on the OL.

I think they'll come back with a much more mixed game (more runs, more Earl Bennet/Aromashodu (less Hester), more screens) as long as Lovie makes it clear to Martz we aren't the '99 Rams.

The D and ST I have no worries about. Just need top get the mad scientist under control, and get some OL continuity.

i think we need to run the ball more but honestly i think forte is good but chestor taylor would be the better choice to getting those dirty yards. we need to utalize chestor taylor a lot more and get hester back on kickoff returns. Forget hester on offense, its been proven that it cant work. Olsen also needs more throws and jay has to stop acting like hes gonna get sacked every play because if you saw the last game u can see in his reaction that he always felt like he was about to get sacked.

I think Hester has been looking significantly better this year at WR

Hester has 182 yards through 7 games as a starting WR... (Knox has 478 as a #2...)

Bennett has 131 in the last 2 games as a #3/#4. The dude is just in the right place and catches everything. Mr Reliable. And he's Cutler's boy since Vandy.

Right out of the bye week I'd make Bennet the de facto starter opposite Knox. Leave Hester as the offical #1 in name only. He's recently stated (since his PR rebirth) he would be fine with a reduced role on Offense.

Aroma' could have had this role but it's obvious the coaches think he has issues (drops, lackadaisical blocking, etc).

Knox + Bennett + more 3-step drops/quick throws + running game + more screens + more Taylor = easy enough Offense with our D and ST.

He's been gunshy since the Giants game (and at times even before). Can't blame him really. But yeah he is not getting rid of the ball quick enough, and can't afford one eye on the rush. Which makes him currently part of the problem (then again, who isn't?)

I didnt say he was the best on the team. And hes started 6. One of those was Todd Collins lol.

And Knox is a good quick reciever, but he needs to stop giving up on every single route. And Im not just talking about the interceptions he could easily knock down. He runs his route and then is like, oh well, not this time
