oh sweet, it's time for the shortsighted JD Drew hate. yeah, he's sucked this year. Just like everyone else on the team. Oh, but he looks like he doesn't care. GTFO with that ****.

It would be different if we actually looked competitive in games. We just look plain awful. Yes its still ridiculously early in the season but we need to get our **** together fast.

uhh jd drew has sucked every year hes been here for the money they paid him, no one liked him in boston since day 1. hes like paul pierce , good player for about 100 games a year. Cant put a stat on heart.

Ok, so JD Drew has the stats to justify what the sox paid him. But as a fan, not a fantasy league player, but a fan who gets caught up in it all, can you really get excited about this guy?

I'm not completely up to speed on WAR but the offensive side of the equation factors in plate appearances. So the fact that he played so few games makes his offensive numbers standout even more.

It's friggin baseball. Who cares how gritty a guy is. Would you rather have David Eckstein on the team? It's objective fact that Drew possesses skills that make him a valuable asset to the team. I'm a fan of the team. That means I want them to succeed. He's been instrumental to helping them succeed, and that's what I get excited for.
