Dave Schoenfield did a great job breaking down, ahem, Melvin's, swing.

I would not have guessed that his line drive and walk rate both IMPROVED slightly since he came over from Tampa Bay.

It's spring, pitchers and catchers have reported, and maybe Coach Seitzer can be as much of a miracle worker as Coach Bud!

Tired of feeling sad and apathetic about the 2015 Braves? How about adding some anger and rage to the mix:

Dan Uggla
2014 (2 teams): .149/.229/.213, 2 hr, 11 bb, 46 k (157 pa)
2015 (spring)..: .282/.451/.513, 2 hr, 11 bb, 7 k (51 pa)

Braves are still paying him $13m this year... unless of course he makes the major league roster for the Nationals, in which case it will only be $12.5m!

So I'm reading that the Braves and Diamondbacks are working on a deal to send Trevor Cahill to Atlanta. I don't know what Arizona will get in return or how much of his $12,000,000 salary we'll have to eat, but I'll be happy to see him go. Maybe a change of scenery will help him remember how to pitch......even though spending time at single A last year didn't seem to help.

I don't care if we get nothing in return and pay half his salary. Just take him. He's despised around here nowadays. Taking up a rotation spot Archie Bradley should be getting.
