Kimbrel's value goes way up in July when some contending team realizes their closer sucks. Would be very surprised if he doesn't get traded then.

That assumes he doesn't start his inevitable decline this season, but I think that's a pretty safe bet.

Braves trade David Hale and Gus Schlosser to Colorado for two minor league catchers.

Jose Briceno, 22, profiles as a bat-first decent hitting prospect. But it looks like he'll start 2015 in High-A.

I kinda liked David Hale. Oh well.

I realize that since we won't contend anytime soon, an elite closer is a luxury item,

but dammit they've gotten rid of homegrown guys I love, I really don't want to see Kimbrel leave town too

Most sites I've checked have 2015 win totals for Atlanta and Arizona pretty close to each other. They all have Atlanta with 1-2 more wins. Are any of you Braves fans interested in taking Atlanta vs me and the Dbacks this year? Based on the lines I'd like a 1 game spot, and would be willing to take up to $500 in combined action, maybe more before opening day gets here.

I'm fine doing no escrow with any of the regs from this thread. I prefer paypal but could also deposit straight into your bank acct if it's a bank I have in my area. I'm with WF fwiw.

yes truly sad. having dinner with him though in spring training. now that beachy is gone the only braves watch I have is mike minor. so go mikey
