The Cards are sick of playing Pitt and Cincy all year long, so I'm sure they'll happily throw the series against the Cubs to lineup pitchers, rest Yadi, and take on the Dodgers in the first round.

What a game!

Cliff Lee and Kris Medlen matching zero's the whole way, then Chris hits one out in the 8th, and Kimbrel turns out the lights!

I'm glad to see we're coming into the postseason with some momentum. I was worried that with a big lead in the East we'd limp to the playoffs. But we're playing relevant games trying to lock down the #1 seed, and we're closing it out with some inspired baseball

Really annoyed that we're about to lose this game. Now we need St. Louis to lose tomorrow and us to win. The Cubs are throwing Samardzija tomorrow, he could be either really good or really bad.

Also, Kameron Loe kind of sucks. He won't be on the postseason roster, will he?

I'm not thrilled at the 2 seed and Dodgers in first round, but if TDome says it makes very little difference in the WS equity, then I guess I'm not too upset about it.

It just annoys me that the most important factor for regular season success, quality starting pitching depth, especially 3-5, is irrelevant in the playoffs.

The Dodgers are built for the postseason with their aces at the front of their rotation.

But I think we have a better bullpen.

Who knows, the postseason is such a small sample size crapshoot anyway.

At least we have our ticket to the tournament.

No, but he's already missed so many games that he's a non-factor for the Dodgers.
