Lol, I was thinking wow what is the probability of two .185 hitters getting back to back hits? Both were cheap singles too but I'll take em!

I feel somewhat responsible for Upton getting hurt, there's this 70-year old regular at the poker room who always has a Braves hat and shoes (yes, Braves logo shoes) on and yesterday I approached him saying I think we need a few more injuries just to even things out.

Sorry.

Kimbrel got his 132nd save tonight, moving him into a 4-way tie for 89th on the all-time list with Bob Stanley, Steve Farr and Jim Brewer. And he's not arbitration eligible yet.

It's a good decision to let him go down get 10-15 at bats maybe get his confidence back up and then he's back when rosters expand and is still eligible for the playoffs.

Dan Uggla either strikes out looking at a ball right down the middle, strikes out swinging at a ball right down the middle, uppercut swings at any ball and pops out, or pulls a ball low and away with the end of the bat and grounds a choppy ball near second base often times resulting in a double play.

He has struggled all year and quite frankly is as much an automatic out as the pitchers. Might be best to just bench him as he has demonstrated to no longer be a major league hitter. Might as well put Janish at 2B to play better defense and bat 8th.

They have numbers you can look at to see if he does actually make outs as often as anyone you'd like to compare

Locking up the division in mid-August makes for a boring September. Can October get here?

Heyward seems to be progressing quite nicely. Already eating solids and hitting off a tee, playing catch, etc. This is huge.

For me I don't think it makes for a boring September because they are in a big race for home field in the NL. I don't know if I've seen a team in a long time that needs home field more than the Braves do.
