woodfire was amazing when I went like 15 months ago.

hitting up empire state south this thursday. heard good things so i'm looking forward to it. anyone here been?

also i think one of the best sandwiches in ATL is the Archie Bunker at DBA in VaHa. I mean, it's a pulled pork bbq sandwich with mac and cheese on it...who wouldn't like that? sweet potato tots on the side are great too.

+1 on the archie bunker. ive been to ess once and had a great meal.

There's two joints at that airport so it might be the other one I'm thinking of

what about best mexican food in ATL? anything from dirt cheap to high end (or as high end as you can get for mexican)...

The food at Brickstore is really underrated. It's known as one of the best beer bars in the world (http://www.ratebeer.com/RateBeerBest...laces_2010.csv), but their pub menu is also pretty killer

Worth noting I don't know many of the high end mexican places as I think Nuevo Larido is so good that I haven't tried, so there might be some fine dining mexican that is awesome

i always felt like nuevo laredo was a little over-hyped, but it is very good nonetheless. another good intown place is across the street in inman park/old 4th ward. very good food and a nice hidden bar in the back. if youre feeling adventurous and want to try a more authentic place, check out taqueria los rayos near the intersection of buford hwy and clairmont.

after living in arizona and california, i have a hard time calling anything in atlanta mexican food. i guess nuevo laredo is best.
