pretty true they need to just hit more consistantly, not feast or famine

KK on the DL now with a strained shoulder. They will never be able to trade his ass. He allowed 15 hits, 9 earned runs and 3 homers in 10-2/3 innings at AA before going on the DL.

*15 day DL

easy on KK, apparently some people think the Braves have royally mistreated him. http://capitolavenueclub.com/?p=3938

I can see their point.

*wonders* what Atlanta would of done with Heyward last year if he started the season like he has this year through 20 games.

Heyward's K-rate is down, his ISO is up... The only worrying thing on his batted ball profile is infield fly balls, and the sample is so small it still isn't very worrying. Basically he got benched because his BABIP is down.

Fun Fredi quote about the offense: "You look at the back of their bubblegum cards. They're going to hit."

I'll never like McLouth, but how long is he going to stay at 8 if he has another good game today?

I think half of Heyward's infield fly balls were the result of that broken bat tear he went on last week.

Fredi's lineup card today should be interesting with the Dodgers starting a lefty. After using Chipper as a pinch hitter on his day off earlier in the season (which I don't think Bobby would have done), I think Fredi will have number 10 in there today.

Yeah they've dumped on him. I'm just frustrated with the whole situation. There's a lot of salary tied up in AA with practically no chance of trading him.

How about Freddie Freeman with another homerun todayand exorcising the ghost of Casey Kotchman.

mattingly leaving kershaw out there is pretty dumb i think, granted broxton sucks now, but he looked pretty tired with 120 thrown and 20 in the 9th

at work with text updates - did Kimbrell get hit in the 9th?

walked jamey carroll, wild pitch in there somewhere, and then with two outs casey blake hit a ground ball single to tie it.

kimbrel is really fun to watch tho. i'll def be tuning into a lot of braves save situations.

edit: this is probably too late to be useful, sorry. but anyway, holy **** is that fastball filthy

guess it's hard to appreciate a guy properly when you only see him pitch against your team in the playoffs (also being sober helps)
