Choosing between Brunt & Gardner for so long, sigh at going with the wrong one, could have been a biiiiiig win if I'd gone with Gardner. Brunt on more corners/set pieces i thought.

had been hammering gardner for weeks when brunt was out. i wish this had been the earlier game, would have gone gardner everywhere instead of sessegnon.

didnt have arn in cash because i had shaqiri and i tend to dislike playing players on opposite sides of the pitch together. deeney + targett were only real duds. wanted to upgrade to cedric too

Would have been better off not tampering my team and leaving bolassie in, such a sigh game with soooo much upside before it. Still won at cash so can't grumble, having Arnie & Shaq wi Kasper & Fuchs was lucky.

I need to redo my model, got lazy for a while and basically sorted by who takes corners and did well against Max, but pricing has gotten to the point where that's not as effective.

Having said that no idea why I went with Mahrez today, someone who only takes certain free kicks.

Rant:

I hate when I see players that rate really highly in my projections and just never get ****ing starts. There's like 5-6 guys im just sitting on waiting to go ham when they get starts and they just never ****ing do.

Tbh I just think Max will do better in ucl and smaller slates. He's improved but not to the point where there isn't a massive edge anymore. Sort by corners is still effective just have to be really spot on about your forwards since everyone picks the same mids (if you don't you get slaughtered like turds that didn't pick shaq and albrighton today). There were a handful of interesting spots today that went way less owned than I thought. Fwds basically all sucked except arnautovic. Bera and wick ham did well but are both really terrible picks for cash.

Hope everyone had a good one from the games today. Nice to take a breather from it and watching highlights of the games now. I just have a question and something not making sense.

From less than few weeks of DK's game I played. All I could see is 0.00 points unless a player has fouled, been fouled, had a cross or a shot. Obviously the assist and goals get scored in due course.

But can someone explain to me the logic of not having scoring for successful passes ? At the end of the day this is football. If any crossing gets one point, passing should get at least 0.5 points. I am fine with 8 or 11 person squad.

I remember there being a survey before these scoring rules came. It is a slick app and platform, that is impressive. The gameplay is just not my cup of tea.

Garrincha, you are saying that if 1 cross gets 1 point then 1 pass should get 0.5 points? You realise a player can pass 60+ times in a match...

I have checked today's game numbers, the highest total crosses excluding corners were 11 for Shaqiri and 13 for Albrighton. But on Draft Kings game Shaqiri is given 20 points for 20 crosses. I have no idea where the extra 9 crosses came from. Guessing it must be all from corners taken.

Albrighton is given 14 points for 14 crosses which very closely reflects the numbers for the game played.

Regarding successful open play passes most players do not pass the 50 mark. So fifty passes by 0.50 comes to around 25 points for these players.

Those who passed the 50 passes completed mark were all Chelsea players. The highest was Fabregas - 108, Mikel - 70, Willian - 65, Hazard - 63, Oscar - 59.

Albrighton and Shaqiri made just 22 open play successful passes.

If a player can be given 20 points for 20 crosses. Awarding 0.25 at minimum or 0.50 at the maximum for successful pass completion will make their game less lop-sided.

I can put all the extra effort to master their game in due course. But is not asking much from them to make it all-rounded and polished. They can have a run away success with broad appeal.
