@vix:

i like your WR's (having 85 as a fourth option is ridiculously good), and the rivers/ryan combination is very nice. that said, after jackson your RB's are potentially shaky, if moreno hits what a lot of people are projecting then it's fine, but it's denver so you never know what will happen, stewart is losing value rapidly and jones will be in a bad RBBC situation imo. you can start a third, and there's not anyone that i think is worth starting.

@rwp:

how the hell did you get brady, moss, welker and CJ3 in a 14 person league with PPR? those are all legit early third round or a lot sooner picks. that said, i do not like taking brady in ppr (he's going a bit early imo anyway, and ppr devalues qbs), and i don't like taking a QB/WR combo ever, let alone both of Brady's WR's. if the pats' passing attack produces then it's obviously awesome, but if not, then meh

K got another team for you guys. Pretty standard Yahoo rules except -2 for picks and some bonuses for 200 and 300 yd rushing/receiving games.

My one question: I have a ton of WRs... do I need to cut one and pick up a handcuff RB? If so, who?

10-team league I had the 8th pick.

1 QB, 2 WR, 2 RB, 1 W/RB Flex, 1 TE, 1 DEF/ST, 1 PK

1. (8) Steven Jackson
2. (13) Brandon Jacobs
3. (28) Ronnie Brown
4. (33) Aaron Rodgers
5. (48) Chad Ochocinco

I wanted to go WR earlier, but I couldn't pass up Ronnie Brown or Aaron Rodgers in those spots. Too much value.

Notice I realized my WR weakness and stockpiled the **** out of them trying to hit gold.

@yeota:

that's pretty solid except that I think you reached quite a lot for rice and parker, both of whom are likely available a round after you took them, if not more. but if you can get the sort of sick value you did on housh and williams, then we can pretend you took those two in 4/5 and the backs in 6/7 and it's ok

@DO:

I'm not a huge fan unless it's bigger than a 12 team league, LT2 is pretty average for a RB1 and Jones/Ward are both borderline RB2's. Welker is weak for a WR1 and Jackson is average for a WR2. Needs Brady to come through and be a top 3 QB. WR's on bench are good, RB depth is pretty average, having both of McClain and McGahee just seems to be eating space. Might look around the waivers for someone better than Shockey as well

Yeah, I figured I wouldn't do very well. I kinda just winged it with a rankings list off of some website.

I might try a second team and see how that goes.

One last draft I'd appreciate opinions on. 10 teams, lineup consists of QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, TE, K, D, Flex (QB/RB/WR). PPR, all TDs=6 pts. Fairly unhappy with my team, but also unimpressed by others' teams, so maybe it's okay.

QB-Kurt Warner
RB-Clinton Portis
RB-Reggie Bush
WR-Larry Fitzgerald
WR-Dwayne Bowe
WR-Donnie Avery
TE-Kellen Winslow
K-Jason Elam
D-NY Jets
Flex-David Garrard

Bench:
Brett Favre
Knowshon Moreno
Julius Jones
Jerious Norwood
Ted Ginn
Nate Washington
Zach Miller
Titans D

Thoughts?

Looks fairly mediocre, it's weak at RB, Portis isn't really a RB1 and even with PPR I don't think Bush is any better than a borderline RB2. Warner/Garrard as your QB's are basically average. Fitz/Bowe are a nice 1-2 combo and Avery is an adequate third option. Think you're wasting a bench spot with the Titans, don't mind holding Miller as backup (have exactly the same TE pairing in my PPR league), rest of bench is adequate. I guess hope that Moreno becomes awesome?

Basically. There were three separate spots where I was a pick away from players that were significant upgrades on what I had to settle for. Just one of those frustrating drafts where things are slightly out of sync. The only disagreement I have is that Warner/Garrard is an average combo, I'm one of only two teams to have two top 10 QBs from last year.

10 year fantasy vet... one of my leagues has a semi-interesting scoring system, my first year in this league.

14 teams... PPR, 6 pts. all TDs, start an IDP, bonuses for TD length (ie. 60 yd. TD = 6 bonus pts.)

Starters = QB, 2 x RB, 2 x WR, Flex, TE, K, D/ST, IDP (had to fill every spot twice, so you were forced to take 2 kickers, Defenses, etc.)

1st pick overall...

QB - 29. Rodgers 196. Pennington
RB - 1. MJD 85. Felix Jones
RB - 28. Barber 112. Leon Washington
WR - 57. V. Jackson 113. Chris Henry
WR - 84. E Royal 168. M. Clayton
FLEX - 56. Bush 197. J. Norwood
TE - 140. V. Shiancoe 225. R. McMichael
K - 252. Kris Brown 253. R. Gould
D - 169 Jets D 280. St. Louis D
IDP - 141. P. Willis 224. B. Ruud

I think I'm set-up pretty good here with the bonuses for big plays and ppr.

In a .5 PPR league I'm not crazy about this team. Keepers were no brainers and obviously got huge value out of them, its just they aren't the best PPR backs. Mason is a high end WR4 in my rankings so you are lacking that WR3 but you can hide that this year as long as TO and Housh produce and stay healthy.

I like Clark a lot this year in all PPR leagues. Should be a solid team and a playoff contender.

Disregarding the trade as I'm not exactly sure what was going on(I think value wise you lost but maybe grabbing Cutler helped your team a lot).

Obviously very strong on your RBs and very good value in PPR in the 4th with Bowe. Actually in a PPR I like all your first 4 picks. I might have passed on Gonzo because again it seems like you are lacking that WR3 and in a league without a flex and start 3 WRs that hurts more than the other league. Bess was a solid sleeper. You are gonna either have to make a trade or hope that one of Curtis/Gage/Bess workout.

When I have that extra roster spot(16 instead of 15) I like to take a 2nd TE just for possiblity of upside. A Mercedes Lewis/Pettigrew kind of TE. But I also don't usually end up with one of those high end TEs.
