brandon jackson worth #1 waiver?

current RBs are mendenhall, mathews (**** him), moreno, harrison, and hightower and i start 2 with no flex. no ppr. would probably drop hightower

Yeah I'm seventh on waivers list, so I don't think I'll get Brandon Jackson. I obv listed him at first priority. Then I'm going to go for Vick. After that, I'm going for Peyton Hillis, Fred Taylor, Nate Washington, Jake Delhomme, and then Chris Chambers, in that order. I'll be dropping any of Lynch, Maroney or Shockey.

Thoughts? (remember this is a 12-team league with 17 players per team (10 starters))

I think the best strategy is to always start a QB in the OP spot unless another player has a really sick matchup. So I'm thinking of grabbing Vick off waivers because I think I'm pretty solid in RB/WR but I have both Carolina running backs and might want to sit Stewart and play somebody like Fred Taylor.

Here's my team:

QB Donovan McNabb, Was QB
RB Frank Gore, SF RB
RB DeAngelo Williams, Car RB
RB/WR Jonathan Stewart, Car RB
WR DeSean Jackson, Phi WR
WR Steve Smith, NYG WR
TE Vernon Davis, SF TE
OP Matt Hasselbeck, Sea QB
D/ST Cowboys D/ST, Dal D/ST
K David Akers, Phi K P

Bench Ben Roethlisberger*, Pit QB
Bench Santonio Holmes*, NYJ WR
Bench Laurence Maroney, NE RB
Bench Devery Henderson, NO WR
Bench Marshawn Lynch, Buf RB P
Bench Jeremy Shockey, NO TE
Bench Open Spot

I realize getting Vick would give me 4 QBs, but since we can start 2 and I don't have any must-start QB like Manning or Rodgers, having four would give me an oppurtnity to start good matchups (and this is assuming Vick plays). Or just go for a solid RB because my bench RBs suck balls?

edit: somehow I won with that starting team...Matt Hasselbeck, yes, Matt Hasselbeck saved my ass.

fds i like that order of priority. hillis looks useful, tho he did fumble, but it seems everyone on the browns can play with impunity other than jerome harrison, who is perma doghoused for gawd knows what.

ok guys, how good is dallas d? i got cutlahhhh @dal next week and am thinkin of going ww. dallas was pretty stout against washington and seemed to put a lot of pressure on mcnabb. think thers a decent chance ware decapitates cutler given that line.

i could go orton garrard hasselbeck young bradford etc. vick is out there but would cost a decent bid.

should i try to sell on foster? if so go after who?

I think it's best to wait on Foster if you want to sell him. Unless they're crazy gung-ho for him, most buyers I think are still a bit skeptical and you'd easily get better value if he puts up another good game or two.

I have Cowboys D and I'm perfectly comfortable starting them at home against the Bears. The only D available on my waivers list that I would prefer for this week is Carolina, but only slightly so.

ya dallas d looked really really solid vs. a similar sort of offense w/ wash. now you get a poorer mans version w/ less offensive threats (devin hester was abysmal last wk., and cutlah stopped throwing to him basically). they're def. a solid option.

i dont think theres a reason to waste a bid on vick w/ potential in bradford/vyoung/hasselbeck when reid said that kolb is 100% their starters.

prob orton > young > garrard > bradford > hasselbeck >> vick

wr's are moss/maclin/santonio/mason

so pretty gross

i'm 6/12 on the waiver list in .5 ppr.

thinking of trying to use a waiver on Mark Clayton.

I could also save my waiver and try to get whoever is left out of Naanee, Royal, Bess.

Thoughts?

12 team ESPN .2 ppr league 9/12 waiver, looking to drop louis murphy (should i hold on to him instead?) for one of (in order of current waiver priority):
Mike Thomas
Mark Clayton
Mohamed Massaquoi
Nate Washington

For DEF/ST, I have the Dolphins, but think I should drop and pick up either:
Patriots @ NYJ
Saints @ SF
Falcons v. ARI
(EDIT to add)
Chiefs @ CLE
Panthers v. TB

Any help?

so i'm in a ton of leagues where i'm fairly stacked at RB and don't really want to ask each one individually, so i'll just throw out a list of names and you say which ones you'd dump for brandon jackson:

pierre thomas
joseph addai
jerome harrison
beanie wells
ahmad bradshaw

one league i have some spare wr's (as well as kolb as an option?), who do i cut for jackson out of these:

dez b
aromatherapy
mike wallace
derrick mason
johnny knox

actually i may cut harrison for him. jackson has some risk tho. kuhn is gonna get a lot of gl stuff. also, gb may bring in a free agent to take some workload.

dont think i would drop hightower for him either.

May? 100% they sign somebody any minute now. And I'm serious about at least putting Starks in the back of your mind and adding him in a few weeks (before he comes off PUP obv).

Yeah I understand the rush to pick up BJax but it's not like missing out on him is going to ruin anybody's fantasy season. Picking him up for some waiver fodder is fine but I would be real hesitant in dropping any kind of proven RB for him.
