Through week 4 he is, but I don't see that being the case after the season is over. He's too small and Hill is too good for him to keep getting all the goal line carries. I LOVE Gio, but if they use him as a bell cow he won't be around very long

Edit: Was referring to standard scoring, PPR he's obv an elite #1.

Re: McCoy

He will get a boost next week when Lane comes back. Right now he's playing with 40% of the OL

How about brandin cooks or brian quick ROS?

I like Crooks but durability seems a concern if he keeps getting touches, looked slightly banged up tonight but would still go with him as Brees>>>> anyone STL starts at QB (even if quick is becoming a #1).

Bortles can run plenty well enough; I think he actually ran more in college than Bridgewater did (and probably put up a faster 40 time as well).

I like him as a player; I wouldn't consider him a major fantasy threat, but he could be a capable backup who could spot start in a favorable matchup.

Cooks. The Saints offense is struggling, but the bye is soon and the chances of them sorting it out are better than the chances of St. Louis becoming consistent or reliable in any way on offense.

Correct, Bridgewater didn't run much in college, but that doesn't mean he isn't capable. Always seemed to run well when he did though. Hopefully his ankle isn't a big deal, it was fun watching the Vikings have a QB.

For sure, he looked good when he had to run. He's a very intelligent player and knows how to get the most out of each run. I was very impressed with, for example, his instincts on when to slide, when to dive, etc. (and that touchdown run was a great demonstration).

Anyone else worried about Patterson now after watching the game today?
Bridgewater never looked at CP as a first read and only threw his way twice all day.
He was locked on to that Wright kid the entire game, always lookgin for him first and very rarely looking anywhere near Patterson.

+1 to Gio being to small for a heavy workload but Hill isn't all that great.

Short term yes but I'm still buying CP in dynasty leagues. I have no idea why they are not throwing him screen passes or running jet sweeps with him. I didn't watch the game yet but I will later this week. My first thought though is that even though CP put up a dud the Vikings went off. What I'm hearing is defenses are rolling coverage over to him and trying to take him out of the game. If that's true then the more succes the Vikings have on offense might help CP get double teamed less. If that's what's happening.

Bridgewater being legit good would help CP immensely.

I didn't mean elite running back good, just good enough to poach carries and goal line work from the smaller Gio over the course of the season. I do think hill will be a very solid running back though and the Bengals are very positive about his talent. It reminds me a lot of the Giants running game a few years ago. Gio is going to provide the flash and big plays but Hill is going to end up being the grind it out and get you a 3rd and 1 guy much like Green Ellis was supposed to be.

I think it was earlier in this thread where I was alone versus many in my argument that Demarco Murray >>> Lacy on my draft board. I have 4 Murrays and zero Lacys on my teams. I did take Charles and Forte ahead of Murray, but he was my number 3.

Too early to dig that back up?

The Cordarelle fail is odd because of Norv. I don't follow much Vikings anything though I have Patterson in three leagues. I just figured Norv would see the talent and create for him. The lack of touches/targets makes me wonder if CP is having issues during the week. Maybe he isn't in the doghouse but isn't performing to get himself in the gameplan.

Could be defenses focused on him but either way, this is a Patterson problem of either underperforming in practice or not being a true WR1 who can create looks for himself. If the latter is the case, guys anyone else performing in the pass game consistently works for the Vikes. Thinking it may take Jennings stringing a couple strong efforts for CP to get a whiff of the upside for which we drafted him.

This is all a reminder of how special Josh Gordon is.

Given that the main knock on Murray was his lack of durability, yeah 4 games might be a little early. Looking like a great call so far though! Having him ahead of McCoy before the season seems crazy though, don't remember anyone making that argument.

In one league I did draft him there. Had #4 and it went Charles, Forte, Lynch, and I took Murray. #5 almost had a coronary I'm sure.

2-2 in my 2QB league, but I think it's time to put out my QB dumpster fire. Sitting on:

QBs - Dalton, Bridgewater, Fitzpatrick
WRs - Johnson, Brown, Allen, V. Jackson, Wayne
RBs - Lacy, Jennings, Martin, Gerhart, Hyde
TE - Gronk

I think it might take Megatron if I want a top flight QB1. My other option is trying to maybe package a player with Bridgewater for a smaller upgrade, someone in the Wilson/Romo/Brady area. Don't even really know where to start on this one yet. Any ideas?

Definitely trade a WR for a QB. Unfortunately, it's gonna be tough to get an qb1

Ahead of McCoy and ADP? wtf?

That's spew any way you look at it imo. Your argument is results oriented right now.

I'd say ~50% of the time he's there for you in round 2 in a 10 teamer.

I'm sad I was too busy to target VJax last week with the switch to Glennon. One of those things where I was just too lazy to do it. Oh well, my loss.

Also I drafted Carolina D way too early for them to be losing me points, lol. Painful. Miami D saves the day this week.
