LOL @ him for tanking at 4-5 when 6 teams make the playoffs...........
What *would* have happened is irrelevant.

Agree that not fielding a team is BS.

lol is right. Looking at your team i don't blame you in the slightest for asking for the worst team to get a high pick. You'll have high picks for years to come. Thanks for the free $100 donation each year.

Is there anyway we can just put a simple penalty in for tanking?

well in this case here unless the owner can really explain what happened, imho commish should be subbing in players and he gets those points. Far as I know commish has those privileges. It also comes with a first warning. I think on 2nd or 3rd warning we start nuking draft picks.

Ok so lets sub some players in and hot hot hot hot hot gets a warning. I mean tanking has not been an issue up to this point in this league.

lol, stay classy

I didn't even draft for this year, and yet I still have a legit team that has a decent chance of making a run this year.

I like the idea of forfeiting draft picks, however, this instance is a bit hazy as he had no TE/K to play. Should commish be given the power to do add/drops...?

I just want the owner to give some sort of valid explanation on how Britt/DHB/Thompkims are kept over a starting TE/K. If there's something remotely valid, maybe there's nothing to come of this. But it's going to take one heck of an explanation. The owner in question made a roster mover on Friday, so frankly he can't say he wasn't connected or something like that.

Ya but that's not an excuse. If we accept that, tankers could drop their only QB. Where does it end?

No I mean it seems obvious that he didn't want to win this week or he would have dropped a WR.

TE I don't really care about. Sometimes (rarely) in dynasty you don't have a position player to drop to compete some weeks as long as there are a bad combo of circumstances. Kickers can always be replaced and should be

Lol! your team is garbage for this year and for years to come. Are you really so delusional that you really think you can "make a run this year?" Let's do this since you are so confident - my team against your team - whoever finishes higher pays the other teams' entry fee next year. Deal?

You seem upset.

My team isn't stacked, but if you seriously think I have 0 chance to make you know absolutely nothing about FFB.

Care to lay 6-1 against me making the playoffs the next 3 years? After all, you think my team is "garbage" and has no chance? Should be free money.

6 teams making the playoffs makes tanking a non issue. I mean the teams with the worst records still weren't out of the playoff race until week 11.

Hot's team should be pushing to sneak in the playoffs. I could easily see that team get hot with AJ Green, Gronk, and Stafford and win it all.

I mean the best team doesn't always win in FF. A lot of times a team gets hot at the end and luckboxes the title.

tanking/not filling out a starting roster. no one seen this coming. have fun solving this problem and not pissing people off in the process.

also in b4 some lame ass excuse, not filling out a roster is lulz. id respect the guy more if he just owned it ect...

It's easy to solve if it's a problem. We just come up with a plan and vote on it in the offseason. We can't change the rules now. I still don't see it being a problem. One owner in one game has tanked. He's getting hammered for it itt. Lets see if anybody else does it. If nobody else does it we don't have a problem.

I know it's the principal of the matter but he still would have lost. So as of right now there has been no harm done.

instead of setting standards for the future lets just wait for it to happen a couple more times. i like that idea actually.

its def the principle of the matter, just because there was no harm done this time doesnt mean there wont be the next time some sketch ball does this. The fact that he made 2 moves knowing he was not going to be starting a full squad is flat out disrespectful to me at least, i cant speak for anyone else.

i knew this "giving everyone the benefit of the doubt" was pretty lolz

We can't really change how we are going to set the draft order for this year. You would be changing the value of draft picks that have already been traded. If tanking is a problem we vote on a solution for next year. Problem solved. I mean if nobody else tanks the rest of the year do we really have a tanking problem/issue?

Tbh I'm fine with however the league votes for setting something up going foward. Not cool changing rules in the middle of the season. Also know that setting up some kind of lottery or giving the 1st pick to the 7th best team might discourage future trading. Which might be what everybody wants idk.

it is what it is we just voted on this right before the season began and this is what the majority wanted, i was on the otherside so im a little disappointed...
fwiw im all for not changing things in mid season as well...end of rant

Ok guys. Just got done reading all of the posts. I didn't even realize that this happened. Lets wait and see what hot hot hot has to say. But I don't think we have a tanking problem in this league. It was probably just an oversight. But lets wait and see what he says.

P.S.-Thank god Vernon Davis went out with a concussion or else I would have lost this week.

Why don't we do a running $100 bet between us each year whoever finishes higher regular season standings that cannot be cancelled under any circumstances? Should be free money since I know "absolutely nothing" about FFB.

Anyway, commish cannot fill in players for a team. There has to be some sort of penalty for a team that leaves open spots or fills spots with injured players unless, in the commish's view, there is a reasonable explanation. Since draft picks can and have been traded, revocation of draft picks is not realistic. I vote for a monetary penalty.

Also, we have been lucky in that all of the teams have been fairly clumped record wise and no team has been mathematically eliminated. I feel like tanking and/or neglect is likely to rise once teams get eliminated from playoff contention and have absolutely nothing to play for. Indeed, they actually benefit from tanking/neglect. Accordingly, I think this should be an in-season vote and not wait until the off-season.
