Thanks man.
I had Alshon + Stevie and finished 0.4 points out of 1st. Tough to finish a reception short of a 100K seat, but a ton of fun to sweat down the stretch and Alshon had a pretty sick performance to keep things close for me.

Unfortunately that last Alshon catch took me out of first in the blitz. Still a lucky run.

What a high scoring week. Beat projections in almost all my cash lineups and barely made a profit.

Somehow missed on everything by 5-10 pts except my Mariota/Walker stack. First losing week this season

Or wasn't unlucky enough to be the last person to toss the ball in that lateral drill where he was credited with a fumble.

Not a significant amount of money obviously but always nice to avoid the bubble by the skin of your teeth

169.5 cashed the thursday massive $5

176.5 cashed the massive $5

there was another one that opened late after the first one filled that cashed 171.4

entries close to 1:00 = noobs. massive double ups at the top of the list = noobs.

is that overshadowed by the fact that sharks are allowed to enter like 50 times each though? or have you noticed that its always the case that latest ones are easiest?

I am only speaking about dk but I do believe games have gotten tougher. I don't believe that has to do with game selection or the proportion of fish though. I think it is related more to pricing. Every week that there are extremely clear value RB plays results in a situation where fish will struggle to make a mistake. Additionally this opens up more salary to use on premium players where it is more difficult to make a mistake. Furthermore, the eternally collapsing QB prices on dk are quite troublesome to me. Last year if you spent 7400 on a QB you could expect someone in the middle of the pack. Almost no every week starters were below about 6200-6500 and only replacements were under 5500 in most cases. Beyond causing fish to have to work under a tighter cap it also penalized them for paying up for good players which was a very common mistake. It's quite hard to make that mistake anymore as most qbs are playable at their salaries abort half the time and the ones that are matchup/script proof are playable basically every week.

Likewise, the premium RB tier is not as pricey as it was last year. When pricing gets looser the edge for skilled players tightens.

aaron rodgers this week on dk is the same percentage of salary cap as jameis winston on yahoo

the cheap qb/rb market on dk means everyone can load up on the very high floor top tier receivers

I think you could see this effect in the average cash game money line - it seems much higher this year than last year on DK.

Ouch. Had forgotten he got that -1. That was a -$1k fumble. Woulda needed 3-4 points to get really high. Ingram was just as bad though.

Good post and spot on. Its not that players are better its just the pricing on DK makes it to easy to pick a team for everybody playing.
