So I've only tried these for 3 weeks now. I cash every 50/50, I lose every big tourney. Overall because of that formula right now I just give away the vig, more or less.

This a fairly common thing for you guys? Guess when I try these next year I may just go 50/50's, seems profitable for me at least. At what buy in price do the 50/50's get really challenging? $50 and up?

I'm 4 weeks deep and go about 75% 50-50s and the rest tourneys. Have cashed in a few and am up about 10% overall this year. From what I understand and in my limited experience I aim for the larger player pool 50-50s when increasing the buy-in.

Nearly 30 different "expert" entries in fanduel tourneys and the most I can muster is a 148 pointer. FML. This is my first year dabbling in Fanduel and it's annoying watching the lineups that bink huge monies. I need to do more 50/50's next year to supplement my degenerate tourny bug.

Amendola and Freeman (and all ATL players) were huge fails for me and I purposely didn't play any Cowboys thinking they'd do the sane thing and not risk injuries and only play them a half.

I even played Joseph Randle in a couple. LOL

Murray and Bryant were good if they didn't play the second half anyways lol

Yeah this. I'll periodically check some of the really big point lineups and genuinely have no idea how they got there with some choices. Other times I think maybe there's got to be some outside the box thinking required to avoid lineup dupication.

I've never actually sat and done a dollar per FP table like I'm sure some people are doing. A quick algorithm would actually brute force you the best possible lineups once you manually gave it ranges for player production.

Anyway it seems like all the best lineups I've seen in the last 4 weeks spend max on WR/RB "locks" (Odell etc...), go cheap on TE, cheap on QB, cheap on RB2. Where I seem to always whiff in the big tourneys is my WR3. I'm always on Stills or someone with 100 yard bonus potential and they never deliver. No idea if you gave me 100 entries if I'd ever have had Decker there vs Miami. It's not even that it was a bad pick, it was fine. I just liked a lot of value more than him for his price. So the luck of binking him perfectly to cash a big tourney vs what you need for a 50/50 is probably why some people fair way better in the 50/50's.

Yeah there's no need for home runs in 50/50s. I think all the million dollar winners this year had a WR in the flex spot, in the 50/50s I'm usually going RB.

Yeah was actually going to ask everyone about this, and figured nobody would want to share anyway. Intuitively though makes sense that your Martavis Bryant/Stills/Charles Johnson/etc... 100 yard game guys there are the only way to win a tourney. Since I'm only going to bother with 50/50, I also like the floor of a good back.
