Yea. End of day Wednesday (east coast US time) should be enough time to process the waivers and everyone has a little time to make moves/decisions. At that point both rosters should be legal

Ok, here is my whole take on the Movie thing. I apologize for all of the run-on sentences and for taking so long to get to this. Also sorry if this turns into something COMPLETELY different by the end but you should really read it all.

I hate to say it but honestly I can't make myself believe that he wasn't involved or at the very least had an idea of what was going on. All we have to go on is his word, which of course was going to be denying any involvement or knowledge whether he did or not. If you put your own personal opinion of Movie aside and look at the evidence there is no logical reason to believe he didn't have anything to do with it. According to him he did not handle a lot of the day to day activities such as setting the lineup, etc. which is why he claims he did not notice this happening. However, it's not like the guy wasn't active in responding to messages and handling other LM duties regularly, the entire time this was going on making it really hard for me to believe he never noticed something. I know you also can't count it as proof or anything but when I first noticed the switch that was made that made me stumble onto all of this, the thing that made me dig deeper and truly find out everything that had happened was the way in which Movie responded to my messages, it all seemed extremely out of the ordinary. A couple of the things he mentioned didn't match up and when I was asked him to email ESPN because I was concerned that something sketchy was going on he emailed them in a way that did not fully explain the situation and lead them to believe what he had already told me was the reason for the roster switch. He basically asked them if the excuse he gave me was something that was possible and they confirmed it. I was wanting him to ask about the roster move being classified as an LM move and all he did was ask "In one league I thought I swapped in a player before the games began, but it showed up that he wasn't in. Later I saw that he was in there. Is there a delay sometimes in showing those updates? Or just a possible glitch yesterday?" It felt as if he was covering his ass and leading the ESPN member to give him an answer that would support him. I can't just assume innocence after everything.

Originally after finding everything out I was ready to call for him and his co-owner to be removed from the league but after seeing the way the rest of you responded I knew that would never happen. Everyone doesn't want to believe it because of all the good he has done for the league or didn't want too harsh of punishments for the good of the league and I have sided with the majority about not giving him the boot for all the effort he has put in to running the league but I'm not ok with the amount of money they're coming out of this with. I can't sit by and let someone take us for $1,440 and get away with it. If Movie really is as close of friends with his co-owner as he makes it sound he should have no problem having that guy help him out repay the money that was stolen.

A $360 fine is a ****ING JOKE as I stated previously. I'm pretty sure this was agreed on because no one wanted to make another solution. I feel like the full $1440 should be paid back but honestly know that won't happen. I don't think we should settle for anything less than $720. While I have an opinion on how the money should be divided that is a separate matter altogether.

Does anyone feel this is too harsh when everything is taken into consideration? I know I should have spoke my mind sooner but I was not aware that the $360 fine was what was being implemented.

I really mean no offense to Dan with what I'm about to say because he does a good job of keeping **** together and I know he never wanted to be LM or handle the day to day affairs of this **** because of how much time and energy it can take. He does handle enough to get us by and I have no complaints with anything he has done but things have clearly been moving more slowly and not as smoothly since everything happened and Movie was removed as co-commish. A lack of leadership is evident and if that isn't resolved I fear things will only eventually get worse. I know this league is very unique and we are all willing to put up with some extra **** so that it continues but that doesn't have to be the case anymore. I would volunteer to step up but there has been talk of starting a separate league in this same format but with a few changes and for more money. I have volunteered and am willing to be LM and handle all of the day to day ****. Also going to make a couple of other minor changes to try and improve some things that we probably could not change without redrafting because it would be unfair. We are just a few more teams away from filling the league up.

However I'd prefer this option if Dan would like to co-commish and most if not all of you guys were on board. I would like to see how you guys would feel about possibly expanding the league and redrafting? We all know the draft was the best part of this whole thing. I know a lot of the most active players in this league are either planning on being in the other league or had expressed interest but did not want to commit the time to two leagues. This would eliminate that problem. We could start redrafting sometime soon and finish this year out since it has already started. I know that would hurt some people who have some really nice teams or who have been building to the future BUT we'd get to do a bad ass redraft, we could make a couple improvements, add a team or two, up the stakes and make this league even better. We all knew there were going to be some growing pains along the way and I didn't even join in until shortly before the draft so I can only imagine some of the original problems that came up that I'm not even aware of. We have a good product with room for improvement and this would do that.

I thought we had settled that issue which was if someone has an extra player. We do still need a decision or punishment for adding someone on someone else's AAA.

A couple of things Drew
1)Could use a clarification on what exactly movie said in his message to ESPN, was it if it was possible for his co-owner to make LM changes without him noticing? Honestly even without knowing the exact question he asked them it seems much more likely he knew about the cheating then I previously thought.
2)I agree that he shouldn't keep any of the money and even before this I thought the punishment wasn't enough, the reason I didn't speak up before was because I didn't want to come off as bitter/biased so wanted to let others who were not in the top 3 come up with the solution as that would remove even a mention of potential bias. As long as everyone else was happy and the punishment was at least somewhat severe I would be happy.
3)As for the way that money would be redistributed that's up to the league, I would be fine with putting it in to future prize pools or divvying it up among the other owners or whatever. Honestly it doesn't even matter to me as long as the result is fair.
4)I'd be fine with redrafting but don't think it's ever going to happen, feel like it would be a dealbreaker for a lot of teams who have sacrificed current equity for future and it wouldn't be fair to them. Because of that I would literally need every single person in the league to be on board with it to say yes.

My brief thoughts because I'm on phone.

Would agree to fines in all baseball and partial overall wins. Only partial because all of hard work. Something like 600-700 seems fair. Also how did he win $1400? Is there break down?

Secondly would love a redraft and have been thinking about it for awhile. Think it be super unfair to do it this year or next do to players ages etc.An idea if people on board having AAA rosters not count to the new redraft. Therefore if you traded for rookie sp but gave up talent for youth then you don't lose out. The team who traded for talent would still get 2 full seasons of play so don't completely lose out as well.

Just some ideas could tinker NFL, 3 WR and flex therefore wr won't be the be all. Rework benches and AAA etc

Im fine with letting the top teams have a bigger vote on this. Should of been brought up hell of alot sooner tho.


I finally got myself some ****ing WRs lol, but whatever, drafting is the most fun part, so I'd be down with a redraft. (I even said several times this league would be more awesome as a redraft, less headache with AAA, drafting every year, but nobody else seems to feel that way. Or at least as a keeper.)


Only thing I cant be on board with is you taking over the league. I dont think we have a lack of leadership. Id say we have a lack of people voicing their opinions which makes it hard to make decisions.

Sure, I dont mind Hurp as co-commish.

Honestly dont mind Drew as co-commish either, dont mind anyone as co-commish.

But I got the feeling he wanted to take over the league and make Dan a co-commish. To me Dan is the top dawg. Whoever wants to stand beside him, it doesnt matter much to me.

Edit; But thats probably not important in the big scenario we are talking about, maybe we should take care of the Movie-case and decide if we actually get everybody in favor of a re-draft, after that we could discuss the commish-issue. Too many discussions at the same time is probably not good, especially as this one is probably super easy fixed compared to the others.

This came up when I thought I had put Keirmaire into a lineup right before the game began (I think swapping out Yoenis who was hurt or something), so when Drew PMed me I thought it was a glitch or something. I am not sure about a redraft though since we started the league based on a dynasty setup. If everyone else is on board though, maybe we can figure something out. If not a redraft, every 2-3 years only allowing a certain number of players to be kept in each sport. Or making it into a contract league where you can only keep players for X number of years..

Also.. For disclosure.. I am bringing in a co-owner for my team to help with Basketball since after all these years I still have no clue wtf I am doing. He wont have access to my login or have any commish powers fwiw.
