looks like FAs being drafted gets approved from the voting in so far (6 yeses, 3 nos and 1 abstention) so assuming the FA pool is correct and teams are accurate, hurp should be able to start drafting

FWIW... You CAN NOT draft any international players who sign a contract after we start. I dont think there are any major ones out there, but still..

One other small thing to clarify before we start. Rules on picking up rookies during the year in all sports.

Football and basketball we can just make it where the draft is the only time to add to your minors..

In baseball we can either keep allowing teams to use waiver $$ to bid on any unowned player in the espn system and moving them down to minors (as long as they are not ROY eligible). Or do the same and football and basketball and make this your only chance to move players to minors

i dont think we can make that change this close to the draft honestly, since we hadnt talked about it at all. ive been operating under the assumption that it was gonna be the same as last season, and again, changing something like that this last minute seems not right

Dont mind keeping it the same. Just wanted everyone at least on the same page that we are keeping it. I know there was a little confusion last year.

for clarification:

everyone has 32 roster spots. we are allowed 31 players. the extra spot is intended ONLY for adding rookies through FA that then get cut from the active roster and stored in your AAA (on the google doc). they can be called up to your active roster but a roster spot needs to be made for them.

this is to allow for rookies to be picked up during the season who have not been drafted yet.

2) NFL playoff structure: option 1: don't count the last 2 weeks for non playoff teams
option 2: count the last 2 weeks and just use overall records for standings
option 3: use the consolation bracket yahoo provides
option 4: some kind of consolation bracket we make up


3) Penalties for picking up and using a player that isn't yours (if on a AAA roster but not an N/A spot): Y/N (penalty TBD by Dan)

4) If there's a tie in a sport (baseball or basketball), since we didn't officially decide anything before: 1) use roto to figure out who wins, so whoever wins between categories between just the tied teams to determine draft order and overall points
2) split the points, split the $, and not sure what would determine draft order

6) Should FAs be available to be drafted? Y/N

7) Penalty for tanking: Tanking to be determined as team not setting their lineup for 3+ weeks, Y/N? Penalty to be: once 3 weeks are reported and confirmed (by commish), (total, doesnt have to be consecutive) then you get a warning. then every subsequent reported week results in that sports draft pick dropping by 1 spot (1 spot per subsequent week reported)
