Thanks guys. Just trying out the free stuff for the ROS, just wanted some ideas of what good scores are.

Funny how the yanks starter for $5500 got 25% owned in the 400k DK. Good play? safeplay? or too much exposure. Must have been all over the cheat sheats. LOL. Maybe its normal, seemed a little wack that he was 25% owned.

so much free money tonight. Im not sure how people have bad lineups when literally every SP you thought could be good ended up with a great game, plus mandatory starts like salty and peralta came up huge.

On FD Harvey (ignoring weather) > Bum > Greinke (pre-Harper news) tonight IMO.

In a big 50/50 (ex. 1000+ lineups), what would be the max number of lineups that you'd put in it that are the exact same? Each one after the first has diminished value of course, but it still could be +EV up to a certain point. Curious what you DFS experts limit yourself too? 1? More?

I've been high on Rodon all year and I think last night was first night I didn't have him at all. Standard

Why on earth would you be high on Rodon?

Read about him in the offseason when I picked up a few of his autographed rookie cards. Saw he was averaging more than a k per inning. Was hoping he could translate to the majors. He's had a few pretty good starts, and I typically have a lineup with him.

He was a bad option in cash last night, but a good option in GPPs if you wanted to load up on bats because of his ceiling, imo. I had a little Rodon exposure last night, and loaded up on bats that didn't hit, lol tulo, donaldson, etc. As long as Rodon is so cheaply priced he will always be a viable GPP target if you can load up on value bats.

Rodon doesn't really have a high ceiling because he is so wild he almost never goes deep in games. Last night was the first time all year he completed 7 innings. In 7 of his 16 starts he hasn't even recorded an out in the 6th inning. So his "high ceiling" is really what like 5 innings 7-8 strikeouts and a bunch of walks that get him pulled. And in a win and that's 16-17 points or so. Very unlikely that he scores more than that.

Agreed that K upside puts him in play in GPPs, but I don't think you can really be "high" on him. His walk rate is obscene.

Wait he's scored 18+ 7/16 starts, and 20+ 6/16 starts and 24+ 4/16 starts and for 5-6k range that's not bad, obviously I wouldn't leave money on the table with him in my lineup, but I was chosing between him, Graveman and Severino, I took a tiny bit of Severino as well. I also downgraded a couple of bats and took Hellickson in some, and maybe that was the right play tbh, and I had more of that play, but I felt the upgrade at bats and the variance Rodon brought was worth the risk.

EDIT: Also, if I had seen the high ownership of Severino, no chance I would have chosen him over Rodon's low ownership, the plays were similar with equal ownerships imo.
