Is there a full set of rules anywhere? If not, what settings do we use? How much cash do most people keep for the season?

latest rules post it's a little out of date now, as a few things have been tweaked - specifically, the pro-rated part of contracts has just been dropped. straight up guaranteed contracts, dont get anything back if you cut them (once the season starts, that is). any cut player can then be signed by anyone for whatever price they go for in the weekly waiver auction. Pecota (co-commish) said he was working on typing up a revised rules post, i'm not sure how far he got on that so far though.

edit edit: As for cash during the season, about half the league had no cap space at all last year the other half around 50 - with one team >100. Also worth noting, we allowed teams to pick up 4 players at the minimum salary regardless of cap space. So even if you use all 1000 you could still pick up 4 emergency replacements throughout the season.

Do I actually have 960 to spend, as I have to spend 40 on minor leaguers? Also, are changes daily or weekly, and what position eligibility do we use?

I'm assuming I'm too late to cut minor leaguers this year? What do the R and M columns on the rosters spreadsheet mean?

I haven't gotten anywhere with it because I suck.

9x P instead of broken down by SP and RP, but minimum 1000 innings. not sure position eligibilty. 10 games current year 20 the previous? something like that, i'll search the thread for what it actually is.

yes 960 spent on active roster, changes daily, not sure if you should be able to cut minors - most likely you wouldnt be cutting someone that would have affected the picks made already. i think it's fine if you want, unless someone objects. you'd get your 5th round pick back for 1 cut, 6th for 2, etc.



also just to put it in here, i extended the cut deadline for ludovic, letting him change the cuts that were made, as i didnt want him to be handcuffed by nutshots decisions/lack of decisions.

dont think i answered this, R = what year rookie they are. Rookies salaries go up differently than free agent contracts to try and mimic arbitration. 3 years @ $4, then $10, $30, and $50. M = if they are currently on the teams minor league roster.

and re: position eligibility, confirmed 10 games in current year or 20 games previous year.

Cool. I would cut one minor league player, if allowed. If it's too late, because the draft has started, then that's not a problem at all. I'll have a proper look at the big league roster after work and make some decisions then, if that's OK. Will send money then as well.
