Hello all,

Im in a league with friends just wondering if anyone has ideas how I should approach it with this weird scoring system, thanks

SCORING
Skating
Goals (G) 3 Assists (A) 2
Short Handed Goals (SHG) 2 Power Play Points (PPP) 1
Goaltending
Wins (W) 5 Goals Against (GA) -1
Shutouts (SO) 3

I think it's best to keep it simple a lot of mine are like this

Goals 2 assists 1 that's it for skaters

Goalies 2 for a win 3 extra for a shutout 1 for a shootout loss

It keeps it simple and doesn't completely inflate you goalies. With 2 for a goal it helps you late in draft to try and pluck 20 - 25 goal scorers and not big assist guys.

To be honest I am not a fan of goalies at all because they become to dominate in these pools. However it depends on your pool format if you are just drafting teams and that's it then it's best to keep it simple. If you're drafting a team + bench slots + playing waiver wire and setting your lineup nightly you can add all sorts of stuff.

ignore short handed goals when drafting.
look for goal scorers.

for goalies, you'll obviously want workhorses on good teams.

those settings suck, but i'm not sure if you're asking how to propose changing them, or how to pick players based on that format

Lol just read the op again I thought you were asking for a format to use I didn't realize that was the set format.

By that format you have ya ignore sh handed goals do not think much into that. PP points will come with top scorers regardless but goals are obviously very key here so in the late rounds be looking for goal scorers as opposed to point getters.

As for goalies you should be looking into teams that win with a solid defence like a st Louis who plays a very defensive game however there goalie situation isn't very clear. Teams that win lots of games 5 - 3 and scores like that will hinder your goalies chances I would be looking to grab lundqvist and fast cause the rangers will battle for the top of the east and have a very strong defense.
