I can't believe I read that whole book. We get it already, The Mob, and mob run gambling is bad, and DFS IS NO BETTER, so it's really really bad too.

and if you thought the DK TV ads were annoying, oh lawd look what they did to that train station in Boston. These guys were really thinking long term. How's that IPO fast track looking now, bros?

Actually lot of good info and background on that article. Lot of it is stuff that is known and bit of sensationalism writing but still a good read.

Who realizes that with millions of people playing, SOMEONE is certain to get a long lucky streak, yet think there is skill. This kid is guaranteed to go bust, it's just a matter of when. This is pure luck, and not any skill. It just is not obvious but someone has to flip heads 100 times in a row if millions of people are doing it.

10 pounds lean ground beef
1/4 cup minced onion
1/4 cup chili powder
3 teaspoons paprika
1 1/4 teaspoons ground cumin
1 teaspoon granulated garlic
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon red pepper
Salt
Two 15-ounce cans red beans
Two 15-ounce cans tomato sauce

Pour 1 gallon water into a large pot. Add the meat and stir with a spoon to break it up and combine with the water. Put the pot over low heat and cook for 5 hours. Remove the excess water and grease during the cooking process. At the end of the cooking time, add the onion, chili powder, paprika, cumin, garlic, black pepper, red pepper and salt to taste. Add the beans and tomato sauce to a large serving bowl and stir in the cooked chili.

Yeah. Totally. Some diced green pepper is helpful, and if you're going to spend five hours or so cooking the meat, then afterwards, about an hour in the oven at 350 degrees will help. It'll soften the beans and meld the flavors. Oh, and go with condensed campbell's tomato soup instead of tomato sauce. That's right.

I posted this article the day it came out and the mods removed it for some reason.
The NYT has an ''anything goes''attitude when it comes to personal responsibility and moral issues, but when it comes to gambling they have to save the college boys from themselves. F*** off phonies.
