Very competitive 12 team league. 3 best records and best remaining points make playoffs. Was alone in first in both record and points but that low of a total is a double killer

dfs was terrible, i was all over david johnson - monitoring everything and decided to go there heavily in cash, same with kyler who was underpriced to the point of 60% ownership in cash games

fortunately had a lot of dede/waller/marvin jones as one offs so in the rare occasions i didn't have them matched with dumpster fire players it was a nice 7x or 8x return so the evening was partially salvaged - was *this close to playing marvin jones in cash, which would have made it a massively profitable night but instead went with mike williams... my model loved marvin but looking at the data myself, I couldn't figure out why and overuled it, would probably do it again as well, not so much because you can't predict 3 TD games so much as target volume, which Jones has not had much of



finally booked a win in the industry league so now 1-6 w00t! so I have that going for me, which is nice

got curb stomped in my other two leagues but don't really care about them so much

bestball currently on pace to cash (top 3 of 10) in 24/100 leagues and likely to finish first in a good amount for a nice mini payout, yahoo's ux is a mess so won't bother to do a thorough accounting until it's over but thus far it looks like I've already recouped at least 1/4th of the total buyin and possibly a little more than that

How does everyone feel about the Pats D throughout the rest of the reason? Someone sent me a trade offering them Ingram. I countered with J. Williams and they declined but the Ingram offer is still on the table. I’m pretty deep at RB so I’m considering it. My RBs are Chubb, Ingram, Coleman, Williams, and Gus Edwards. Any insights?

I am dead in the water in one league. I have another league locked up, but I do need to fade 20.7 from Le'Veon in PPR for the weekly high scorer bonus. My biggest sweat is where I'm up by 1.4 points. I have NE defense against Michel. I don't feel great about it, but the NE defense has been amazing, so who knows? Yahoo says I'm projected to lose by 1.3 with a 46% chance to win. If Michel stays out of the end zone, I have a chance.

I wouldn't do it. Being deep at RB can change very quickly, especially once we get to cold weather.

But I'm wondering if NE's defense is a little bit of fantasy fool's gold at this point. Their match ups have been insanely good. I'm not sure I take a risk on them continuing to be such a high VORP during that 6 game stretch from weeks 9 to 14. Sucks that the second Mia game is week 17.

TD variance is also in play. The defense has 5 TDs scored through 6 games. Their defense has almost outscored opposing offenses at 35-48 lol.

As with others ITT I've locked up Steelers D in all my leagues for second half, it has been annoying holding them for a week or two now but could be very worth it. I may try to use NE def as a deal-sweetener in one league and see if someone bites. There can't be any way they continue this production, this week is still a decent spot but going forward it is way harder.

Only tough decision I have is in one league, I've been using MIN D and this week they are Thursday against the Skins at home. That is juicy, but PIT are at home vs Dolphins on Monday. I can't tell what's better.

Both teams favored by over 14.5 (lol), and both totals pretty darn close (the Thursdaids game is a bit lower).

Miami has 2 more turnovers than the Skins. Dolphins sacked 6 more times. Slight edge to Steelers for me.

Yeah it's splitting hairs. My general rule is to favour defenses at home for TNF as it's harder for offenses to get it together on a short week, especially when they're bad.

I have to fade 20.7 points from Michel + Pats D. Not optimistic for 5-2.

Next week both my TE(Andrews) and K(Tucker) are both on byes. Picked up Herndon last week as cover, hoping to see an appearance tonight. I will either have to drop Tucker for a K or drop Dorsett or Singletary (I picked up both last week as well) or roll without a kicker for a week.

With the Cardinals trying out Ajayi and Ware, are we thinking a long term injury to David Johnson? If so, Edmonds has to be 90% FAAB and #1 waiver wire worthy, yes?

Yeah, I'm hoping they ball out tonight, and then I'm going to try to sell high in my 8 man league. Plenty of options still available, but right now the NE defense is the 14th ranked "player" in all of fantasy in my Yahoo league.

NEP defense for Ingram seems like crazy talk.
Lamar opens up so many running lanes for Ingram and Lamar is eventually going to take a solid shot, coaches will crap their pants and dial him back a bit and start feeding Ingram. Not to mention an injury to one of your other RB's.
I guess I'm out of it but I don't think I'd entertain it.

I also edge the Steelers, especially with them coming off a bye, at home, in prime-time, in a pretty much must win game to keep playoff hopes alive.

But I don't think you can go wrong with either match up. Both should perform well, and it's a coin flip on who performs better.

Pats D gets cincy and buffalo in the fantasy playoffs. I'm not giving them up. I'll play someone else starting week 9 and just keep two defenses

I'm not sure if he's THAT valuable without certainty that DJ is out for extended periods of time, but he should be rostered. I picked him up in two spots before the games this week, but unfortunately didn't pull the trigger on playing him.

It is definitely interesting Ari is working out other backs.

on my team where NE D has carried me to first place I picked up Jets D last week. We get 1 more week of NE v CLE in week 8 and then weeks 9-14 when the Pats have their bye/a much tougher schedule the jets get:

pretty perfect pair. and even if you don't have NE Defense the Jets are a great option to pick up now (before everyone targets them since they play Miami in week 9) that will get you 6 weeks of usage. Currently 9% owned on yahoo

I always enjoy reading about the DFS stuff. For NFL I play pretty much exclusively the single entry GPPs (seems like you don't want to enter events you can't max entry?) and make one lineup for all of them and usually min cash when I do. Think my roster construction is just poor in that sport compared to MLB.

I took a donut this week. Engram was not a good play when half the field is on waller.

Yeah, I had Engram in mine as well. I was surprised at how poorly he did against that defense.
