2. I like Castro a lot as an UTR catcher especially hitting 6th. Houston is beyond terrible at hitting development at the MLB level of strong prospects and baseball is littered with players who were wasted in Houston and developed elsewhere. Guy had a monster spring and looks pretty good at the plate so far
1) Not ready to give up yet, but soon. He definitely looks the same as last year, he hit so many HR's down the stretch against good pitching it gave hope, but maybe pushing him to hit 3rd was too much
2) Not convinced on Castro, unless OBP league. Think his average will still be bad, just with a lot more walks then your average catcher. He also had a better ST last year than this year. Think it's easily explainable that they go deeper into games to get more time catching and ready for the season, see more at bats vs subpar pitchers.
