He was too good last year (even if it was lucky) to drop this early, especially for a league-average guy like Correia. If you can drop him for some upside maybe. Otherwise, isn't he on the DL? Leave him there for now.

I'm surprised no one has a need for those three. Pick up Abreu for sure, he's a lock for 90/15/90/15 and .290. That's worst case.

Same goes for Magglio and his .950 OPS after the break last year and his decent start this year. I'm not sure why they're on the wire....

And ya, pick Lind up. What kind of league is this? BTW Adam Jones=still hyped from last year's first half. Cut ties asap.

Re: The league, it's made up of less-than-brilliant minds.

Re: The Players, my OF is already pretty sick though. Grady, Choo, McCutchen, and the Jones' (Garrett and Adam). Both the Jones' are making me look bad, so Bobby and Magglio would be steps up, but Lind doesn't really have a spot.

My 2B/3B backup is Ian Stew and Placido is out there. Stats wise they're almost dead even, does any have a huge leg up going forward?

purdue- if you need steals, its podsednik. if its anyone else, its carlos lee first and andruw jones 2nd

ggb- holds jurrjens for now, and if he goes to the dl get correia.

tanner- sure that drop is just fine.

Stewart and Polanco are pretty even. I prefer Stewart by a small margin, but it totally depends on which categories you need more.

Why is Fernando Rodney on my team? He kinda sucks and is there any chance he steals the closer role? Jason Frasor, Mike Gonzalez, and Juan Gutierrez are all on the WW. I'm thinking about dropping Rodney, stashing Gonzalez on the DL, and picking up Gutierrez (who also sucks, but has a better chance of closing out games, no?) Like/Dislike?

Is it still worth hanging onto Gordon Beckham in a 12 team league? His numbers are absolutely awful and I could use some pitching help.

Ya he is on the DL, i am also holding onto huston street on nelson cruz though who are also both on the DL. Correia just got placed on the bereavment (?) list due to a death in the family so I think that made my decision for me... and Jurrjens is like my 4th to 6th pitcher so i'll probs just wait it out and see if he can return to form. Even if i could 08 numbers out of him i would be fine given what his role on my team is.

Time to give up on Miguel Olivo? Best FA's are Rod Barajas, John Buck, and Carlos Ruiz. Leaning towards Ruiz. Thoughts?

ugh, I've had enough of Zobrist. Someone dropped B Phillips (crazy, I know) and I snagged him so he's in my 2B spot now and I have Zorilla in my OF. I feel like he's wasting a spot, I've tried to pair him with a closer (Wagner) to upgrade an OF spot and have been turned down all over the place (for Werth, Cruz, Holliday and even Heyward). Someone has now dropped Swisher. So should I just drop Z for Swisher?? And here's a snippet from ESPN on Z from today that even makes me more anxious...Any thoughts are appreciated!!

Quote:
Ben Zobrist, 2B/OF, Tampa Bay Rays: This one may be a bit of a surprise. After all, Zobrist is hitting .333 so far in May (11-for-33), so what's the concern? For one, we're looking at only one extra-base hit in his past 15 games. Secondly, his BABIP currently stands at .337 -- the highest it has been in his career -- and yet, his overall batting average is a measly .267. Plus, he still hasn't hit his first home run of the year.

prime- who plays ss for u? zobrist is much better served in your lineup in a mi position than an of spot. i personally wouldn't drop swisher for him, even tho he's having a solid start, he's been a low batting average guy forever(highest ba in a season is in the .260's). means he's prob due for a regression at some point. who's the rest in your of?

mkind- yeah. i'd go with ruiz until iannetta gets called back up. once he does, i would pick him up.

I think you definitely have to hang onto Beckham a little longer, although at this point, I hope you've benched him.

Ruiz has been red-hot lately. Pick him up until Ianetta comes back.

Hanley is my SS. My OF is brutal. Right now my lineup is as follows:

C - Snyder
1B - Votto
2B - Phillips
SS - Hanley
3B - Reynolds
OF - Zobrist
OF - Rasmus
OF - Bruce
UT - G Sizemore
DL - K Suzuki

B Anderson is on the WW too so in theory I was going to drop Snyder when Suzuki comes back and pick him up. I don't like having hitters on the bench in this league - its H2H with no innings limits although you have to wait until the next scoring period to use a pitcher after you pick him up (this eliminates streaming which is nice).

Any thoughts on Chris Coghlan? He's a FA in my 12-team league, and was wondering if he's worth a pickup if I have bench space.

Looks like Lidge might be out a while. Grab Contreras while you can!

Anyone think I should drop Kerry Wood for Contreras, if Lidge ends up going on the DL?

Drop KUBEL for SNIDER? (Both are keepable at $2 next year)

Drop Ian Desmond for Mike Aviles? (Desmond keepable at $2, Aviles at $12)

Drop Freese for Glause (both $12 next year)

Drop Matusz for Holland? (both $12 next year)

(Basically, I want Snider, Glaus, Aviles and Holland- worth it?) I could drop Matusz for Glaus and keep Freese I suppose. We start a MI)

Also have Chapman sitting on my bench. Maybe I should drop him for Stanton? Both can be kept at $12 next year, maybe I don't want to wait around on Chapman any longer?)

plz rank the following pitchers in a standard, non-keeper h2h 5x5 league:

Johnny Cueto
Randy Wells
Mat Latos
Wade Leblanc
Aaron Harang
Jeff Niemann
Ervin Santana

Are they all pretty close or is one significantly above the others?

edit: it's a 10 team league.

Dude, Freese is already better than Glaus now. He'll certainly be better next year when Glaus is sitting on the bench for some non-contender.
