You realise that either Hassel and Flacco would be backups for him and therefore that part of the trade means a hell of a lot less than any parts that involve starters? The downgrade from Hassel to Flacco only matters during Rodgers' bye and if he gets injured, which isn't particularly likely. Personally I think the dropoff from Hassel to Flacco is fairly minimal and not bigger than Boldin to Housh anyway but even if it was bigger I would still think it was a solid trade.

Did you read that the right way round? Bush's value increases by a hell of a lot more than Wells' in PPR. Personally I like Bush slightly better in either scoring system but Wells certainly has higher upside in standard scoring so I could definitely see holding on him. In PPR I would find it very tough to turn down Bush, and I'm fairly high on Wells.

trade i made before our draft last night..

8 teams, 3 player keeper-league.

I Give: Michael Turner

He Gives: Deangelo Williams, his 2nd rounder this year (14 overall, after keepers), and his 1st rounder next year.

i also have adrian peterson and andre johnson. i had by faaar the best keepers, and while i think turner for deangelo straight up is a slight loss for me, the picks made me a solid winner.

thoughts?

Assuming I haven't missed anything that happened today Bush's injury isn't likely to be much more of an issue than Wells' will be. Bush has been practising without support on his knee and has always said that he expects to be ready for week 1. It's possible he'll be limited in week 1/2 but it's likely he will get his touches. The main issue is that it's something that might be more likely to recur than Wells' but hopefully (I'm a Saints fan so I'm definitely hoping) it won't be an issue.

I'm in a 1.0 point PPR league and was offered his Dallas Clark for my Chris Cooley and James Davis.

Is James Davis really going to break it open this year?

I'm thinking of countering with

Chris Cooley, Darren McFadden and Joseph Addai

4

Dallas Clark and Ronnie Brown

He needs RB's since Pierre Thomas is out for week 1 and all he has is Felix Jones and Julius Jones.

willd, mclaughlin, i didnt notice that would be a backup qb for you. i think you should do it. i do think hassel has a quite a bit more upside than flacco.

wiper, that trade is unreal awesome for you.

wells>bush in non ppr. bush>>wells in ppr. imo.

u6, i would do that trade.

You should feel bad playing FFB with mentally handicapped people.

Edit: I guess with keepers its basically like a 4th and a 5th rounder with 8 teams. So not as bad.

I'd just take the original deal. Clark is a solid upgrade and I hope you aren't in position where you need Davis to bust out anyways.

On pure value I love it but in terms of what it does for your starting lineup it actually hurts it. If you think you will be able to use the extra value to trade again then it's good otherwise I'm not sure I like it.

I slept through an entire standard 12-team Yahoo draft and got pinned with both the Baltimore DEF and Chicago DEF. I'm pretty set at all my other positions, but I've never successfully traded a DEF in a redraft league before, what sort of player should I aim to get for Balt?

My friend really wants Drew Brees (who i drafted in the early 2nd round) ... he is a NO homer.

Anyways, this is my draft, and this is his (he auto'ed) ... what would be a good offer to send him? I was thinking perhaps either brees + smith for LT + warner (but this seems like a good deal for him instead of me) ... I'd probably do brees + moreno for LT + warner in a heartbeat, and i'm guessing he *might* as well?

My draft:
1. (10) Steven Jackson
2. (15) Drew Brees
3. (34) Kevin Smith
4. (39) Wes Welker
5. (58) Braylon Edwards
6. (63) Tony Gonzalez
7. (82) Knowshon Moreno
8. (87) Donald Driver
9. (106) Laveranues Coles
10. (111) Lance Moore
11. (130) Eli Manning
12. (135) Rashard Mendenhall
13. (154) James Davis
14. (159) San Diego
15. (178) Kenny Britt
16. (183) Brian Hartline

His draft:
1. (7) LaDainian Tomlinson
2. (18) Steve Slaton
3. (31) Dwayne Bowe
4. (42) Kurt Warner
5. (55) Marshawn Lynch
6. (66) Anthony Gonzalez
7. (79) Torry Holt
8. (90) Chris Cooley
9. (103) Philadelphia
10. (114) Kris Brown
11. (127) Le'Ron McClain
12. (138) Michael Crabtree
13. (151) Jeremy Shockey
14. (162) T.J. Duckett
15. (175) Trent Edwards
16. (186) Tampa Bay

Quick question:

Someone in one of my leagues has offered to give me Phillip Rivers and Matt Forte in exchange for Tom Brady and Cedric Benson.

This is something I snap accept, right? It's a PPR 1 pt league with TD's counting for 6 pts.

Would you do Antonio Bryant and Beanie Wells for Kevin Smith? What side do you like?

I can't see how this could hurt you unless Bryant is somehow your WR1, this looks great.

Blah I dunno haven't been this conflicted on a trade in quite awhile. The only reason I haven't pulled the trigger is that I was thinking about holding onto Hasselbeck and getting value out of him later in the year bc I think Seattle is going to have a good season. But then again he does have problems staying healthy so who knows, it's a pretty good flip....

In a non-PPR league where rushing and receiving TDs are worth 8 points, is the jump from Eddie Royal to Brandon Marshall worth giving up Forte for MJD?

You give Royal and Forte and you get Marshall and MJD?

Yeah, along with a possible minor swap because I need a backup QB, but that's the important part. I actually really like MJD, but Forte seems much safer, so I don't know if Marshall is worth the risk.
