Hey guys,
I've recently bought PIO (6 years late?) and I'm interested in building out a simple but effective strategy for 6-max NLHE. The goal is minimal EV loss while keeping the strategy easily executable. I did this with Monker when it first came out for PLO by using one sizing for the flop (50%) turn (100%) and river (100%) from there I learned which one sizing was best for a 25 flop subset and then varied the sizing with board texture, e.x. if the flop came KK2r I would use 25% sizing instead of the default 50%. For NLHE I was wondering if anyone has done something similar in testing different one sizing strategies and came up with some data? I'm most interested in turn/river as the flop is fairly intuitive for me. Also I would want one raise size for raising cbets, check-raising, etc.

My guess would be using something like flop (33%) turn (66%) river (75%) raise size (50%) would give up the least EV compared to two sizings. And then adjusting the flop sizing with different flops.

Using one sizing everywhere on every runout is a mistake. The "optimal" sizing largely depends on your flop strategy as well as the runout, so there's really no one-size-fits-all solution. I usually prefer to have an overbet and a medium sized bet OTT.

If I were you, I'd start by checking out these free libraries of solves:

The easiest way to do it is to isolate the flop first, and then go from there. Make a very simple tree with only 1 raise size and 1 bet size for each street, except the flop. Add a few bet sizes for the flop over a subset, and then you can get an idea of what types of boards like a specific sizing. After that, you can start doing more advanced work on the other streets. Generally, you want a small bet, normal bet, and overbet size on each street.

The sizing would be dependent on board texture, so if you cbet AK4 and turn is Q if pot on the turn is optimal we go with pot. Similar to what snowie does but for a solver. My idea was to pick the highest ev size for each street.

The best way use a solver is include many diffrent sizings as possible. Understand why multiple sizes are used on each street. At first it may seem confusing but multiple bet sizes for each street will improve your game significantly

depends on what strategy you want to implement.

Depending on the flop texture 95% of the sims I run use the following for IP SRP, if it's a board I know I'm not range betting then I replace 30% with 75%, though there are some boards I don't range bet, but still use small sizings

[30% flop]
[75%, 150% turn]
[75%, 150% river, allow allin]

I wouldn't be surprised if you find a lot of similarities to what you've found in PLO.

With turn bet sizes being 75%+, you essentially polarise mostly always on turns?

mostly always, the only times I use small sizings on turn in SRP are on paired boards or oop.

In the oop situation its usually against a fish/weak reg so thats less pioworthy
