Hi there,

I understand Sklansky bucks are representative of positive and negative EV. Therefore, if you make +EV decisions you will gain SKbucks as well as real $$$. With that being said... what the hell does my graph from 2007 mean???

I guess it means that you have gotten pretty unlucky. You should have won a lot more than you actually did, but due to unluck you obv. did not.

Wrong, Sklansky Bucks only relate to showdown winnings. Basically this means either you've gotten extremely unlucky, or you've lost a ton in non-showdown winnings (extremely common in micro limits anyway, since you gain value in just value betting your good hands). Most likely it's the latter.

This downswing (if we can call it this) started as a bad run with bad beats and cold decks. But then it turned into tilting and playing bad which seemed to go on forever... I have tried to graph the showdown vs non-showdown winnings but couldn't do it with PokerEV or PokerGrapher

That graph basically most likely shows that you're losing a lot of money in non-showdown pots. But turn on the SW (showdown winnings) line to see if you're running badly or not. It's impossible to tell if you're running or playing badly from that graph alone.

The showdown winnings graph essentially mirrors the sklansky bucks line except is above it slightly...

So that means you're running slightly above average. So you're losing too much money in non-showdown pots, or potentially getting coolered in hands where you put money in bad (-ve Sklansky$), but are still maknig the correct play i.e. set over set. Most likely the former. So you're probably giving up too easily post-flop - more cbets, double-barrels etc.

Then you have only yourself to blame. Bad beats lead to bad plays-it's a vicious cycle.
