Was messing around in GTO+ running some sims (BTNvBB-SRP) where I only allowed IP to use one size on flop (B33) and turn (B75). On the river, they could use B75-B150-All In

What I noticed is that the global and mixed frequencies varied slightly in comparison to a more complex sim. However, the pure decisions stayed roughly about the same.

Are there any boards or textures where it wouldn't be advised to use an overtly simplified strategy (other than exploitative reasons)? One that comes to mind is something like AK3r where solver will mainly use a large/OB sizing on the flop. Although in practice, no one is really doing that at micro/small stakes.

Follow up, in regards to comparing the EVs of this and a complex strategy. Would I look at IPs EV only on the flop, or on all streets?

If only utilizing small sizings on the flop, then you gain a non negligible EV gain by allowing larger sizings on turn (overbet). In many situations its >1% EV difference compared to only allowing one sizing.

You would view the EV as a whole, so you would compare the strategy on the flop before any action is allowed, or you would nodelock the flop node and compare EV on turn node.
