I have been reading 2+2 for awhile and I figure this is the best place for my post. I will be playing a couple of FTOPS tournaments this year and wanted to see if anyone had links I could check into for free tips on online tournaments.
I have read these books so far.
Super System
Super System 2
Harrington on Hold' em Vol 1. (Cant find Vol 2 just finished 1)
Ken Warren Teaches Texas Hold' em
No-Limit Texas Hold'em: The New Player's Guide to Winning Poker's Biggest Game By Tom Mcevoy
Also subscribed to Bluff Magazine.

I have been playing $10-30 tournaments and saved for the ftops series but I figured a larger buy-in would have a skill gap. I play as a hobby and I just play every now and then but saved for these tournaments.

Finish the other two Harrington tournament books. They are essential if you are serious about playing big tournaments.

I'm not sure why you can't find Harrington volume two or three. They are available almost anywhere, including the point stores of most online poker sites.

As far as the skill gap, keep in mind that the FTOPS tournament is full of players who won low buy-in satellites. There are good players too, but it's full of fish.

Keep an eye on the buy-in of the satellites they are running for your tourney. Low buy-in sats = lots of fish.

A lot of FTOPS events have been won by players nobody has heard of.
