Another ~7% is fine with me. Its just not practical for me to earn 1500 points on every thursday.

I was looking forward to earning 5k this month to get the ticket. I'm glad they still offer double points, but was hoping for more considering the rake on Superturbos is the highest of anywhere(considering structure). Effective rakeback needs to be really good from my point of view seeing as how the rake is outrageous and huge winners from FTP and other networks can't even break even in the superturbos on merge.

I usually love Microbob, but what are you complaining about...extra value is extra value...Your already getting 35% RB + points. 2x points days are great. Live customer support..what else do you want...should everyone get 100% RB + 200% RB promos every day?

OMG, when will people realize that when playing poker how other players feel about promotions matters just as much. Stop thinking that promotions are something the sites give for free; it is a way to preserve their customer base. It is no different than one gas station offering cheaper gas than the other. They might call it a promotion, but it is just a way of competing for customers.

If the majority of people dislike the promotion, they might start looking for different options, and then you will just have ~1000 people from the US to play with, who have no other option. No one wants that. While a business doesn't HAVE to do anything European players do have other options.

I do not think you ever played pre 2008. BB/100 were so high that today's BB/100+RB doesn't even compare. Not to mention that Merge's rake is very high even with 35% RB.

Yeah, I don't get the complaints here. The promotions are more then good at this point even though they are a step down from last month imo.

Nope, definitely not. I weigh the value of playing on the site and the promotions are a big part of that. This Thursday promo is lacking value really so I will likely play on a different site on those days. The value of playing on RPM without a reasonable promo is kind of meh in my opinion.

I'm definitely NOT grateful or think we're lucky just to get anything. The site should feel grateful or lucky to get my business at all and I demand that the site I choose to play on provide a value that to me indicates they want my business. If I don't feel that value is there then I will choose to play elsewhere.

The rake is already a gigantic issue. The promotions cut that down somewhat. And as a discriminating customer I want promotions that I feel are worthwhile and have decent value...without them I'm not interested.

The only way I wouldn't be interested in evaluating such promos is if the site were offering a significantly improved rake structure in its place.

Today's Sunday, right? I can't find the $6,500 guarantee that's supposed to be running @ 13:00 server time that the ticket is for.

That tournament was recently changed to the $8,750 Guaranteed at 13:00. The ticket should work for entry into that!

It's not giving me the option to register to that tourny with the ticket.

I can see exactly why this is happening and this is not something we are able to fix directly, though it is quite a simple fix. I have passed this on to Merge as a matter of priority with instructions on how to correct this. Unfortunately, I doubt this will be fixed in time for the 13:00 today, but will likely be fixed by this evening.

I have suggestions for the type of thing I think would work very well for the daily promos

Monday - 2x VIP

Tuesday - 2x VIP

Wednesday - Tourney ticket day. These would be dished out based on rake generated and tiered. I'm guessing something like 15% value, so like if you rake 100$, you get 15$ ticket; rake 300, you get 45$ ticket, rake 20$, get 3$ ticket. I think this is a sustainable and encouraging way for RPM to dish out tourney tickets. As it currently is, it's one size fits all where low stakes get good value but higher stakes get little value. Just find an appropriate tiered percentage IMO. Managing something like this could be a hassle, but I also think it could be done well and clearly

Thursday - Same as Wednesday

Friday - 1.5x bonus clearing day. I guess Merge would have to sign off on this, but it's the type of thing that would work. Or even a special promo day with something like cracked aces or some other nifty promo


Then a monthly promo like July Heatwave. Something like the top 3 rakers per stake from 4nl to 200nl are put into a SNG, and starting stack sizes are relative to stake. For example, one SNG would be the top 3 rakers from 25nl, 10nl, and 4nl for a total of 9 players; starting stacks would be 3000 for 25nl players, 1250 for 10nl players, and 600 for 4nl players. Something broken down like this would encourage high volume play without overly rewarding low stakes players

I would also like to suggest that if you're going to run a promo like 1500 VIP pts everything Thursday for the month, that the Thursday doesn't fall on the first day of the month.

Not going to lie, but i think these promos for September were absolutely trash... especially for a micro-low stakes player.

In my opinion:
Monday - 2x points was fine
Tuesday - 2x points was fine
Wednesday - 3k hands for an $11 dollar satellite ticket is a ****ing joke
Thursday - 1500 pts in 1 day is impossible for micro/low/midish stakes player
Friday - another hard to reach promotion

Alot of the other skins on merge actually give you a legitament chance to get the 109$ satty ticket for earning just 250 pts per week, and also just have other weekly promotions that are better in general.

My 2 cents. Hoping for better things in August Seth.

LoSwaga- LoL at you saying monday and tuesdays are fine for micro stakes players but wednesday's are a joke. Wednesdays are the the best deal for micro players. If you play 3k hands of 4nl you won't even pay $11 in rake. So therefore it's over 100% rakeback on that day. Whereas double points is basically another 6.5% rakeback(for rakeback players).

Kowboys4- You have to remember that rakeback is relative to other things like softness of the games and the original rake. It's not like merge is giving these deals to be nice guys but they know to beat a lot of these games you need a good rakeback deal. I wouldn't play if I had much less rakeback than I do now and im sure a lot of other players are in similar situations.
