RPM Poker's NEW VIP Program (June 1, 2011) RPM Poker's NEW VIP Program (June 1, 2011)

05-31-2011 , 06:31 PM
Hi folks,

As most of you are aware, after June 1, rakeback will no longer be offered on the Merge Network. Taking its place is a brand new VIP structure that offers excellent value back.

This image shows the new VIP levels and the perks associated with them.

What are VIP Points, and how do I earn them?

VIP points are points given to you as a reward for playing at the RPM Poker cash game or tournament tables. For each $1 you contribute to the rake at the RPM Poker table, you will earn 10 VIP Points.

How can I use my VIP Points?

Redeem your VIP Points for entry into any RPM real money tournament, or redeem your VIP Points for cash directly into your poker account.

How is my VIP level calculated?

The calculation is total VIP points earned minus total VIP points decayed.

Is it possible to go backwards in the VIP tiers?

Yes it is, but only if you don’t play for the Decay Period. If the Decay Period is 60 days, then you must go 60 days without earning a VIP point before the nominated amount of Decay Points will be removed from your VIP balance. Please note that the deduction will only happen once every Decay Period, so if the Decay Period for the level is 60 days then you will only have points decayed once every 60 days.

How does the Exchanges Per Month rule work?

You are allowed to exchange points for cash 3 times per calendar month at each tier you qualify for. That means that if you qualify for the very top tier, you can exchange points for cash 3 times in the calendar month at the top rate, but also 3 times each month at each of the lower rates should you wish to. Rakeback players will no longer be able to exchange points for cash.

If I exchange points for cash will I drop in VIP levels?

No, you will not. You will lose whatever points you exchange from your balance, but the calculation for your VIP tier is based on lifetime points earned minus lifetime points decayed. Spending points does not alter your VIP level in any way.

How do I get into the freerolls at my level?

The VIP program detects if you are eligible for the freeroll automatically and allows you to hit the register button if you meet the requirements.

When do the freerolls run?

The freerolls run on the last Sunday of every month starting at 13:30 Software time. There must be at least 5 players registered for the tournament to start.

Do VIP Points count towards clearing bonuses?

Yes. Please check each individual bonus for its unique terms and conditions.

Am I eligible for bonuses when I'm a VIP?

Yes. Please check each individual bonus for its unique terms and conditions.

Will the VIP Program ever change?

Yes. We may introduce new and exciting promotions as our VIP Rewards program grows.

Can I transfer VIP Points to somebody else?

No. VIP Points cannot be transferred.

How do I check my VIP Point balance?

You can check everything related to your VIP status in your player admin.

If I have rakeback, can I switch to the VIP program?

Yes. Please e-mail the RPM Poker support team with this inquiry.

Since this is a new VIP Program, do I need to start all over again in first gear?

No. If you are an existing player on RPM Poker, you will be automatically placed in the VIP tier corresponding to the amount of points you've earned over your lifetime (minus the number of points that have decayed from your account for inactivity, if any). So, if you have earned 500,000 points over your lifetime, you will automatically be placed in the top gear, and so on.

--

Good luck!

So rakeback players cant exchange any points for cash. I wonder if this new VIP system is better than rakeback.

Basically the rakeback has been reduced to a true 35%, instead of the cumulative 40%+ that it was when you considered bonuses and VIP points exchange.
05-31-2011 , 06:40 PM
So if I understand this correctly, it's 45% at the top level?
05-31-2011 , 06:42 PM
So if we have rakeback, we are no longer able to redeem points:cash ever? will our vip points remain there unused, "stuck" with no use ??

Right now rakeback + point conversion is 41.5%, so at the highest level it does appear to be better. And not on rakeback I'd earn points more quickly towards clearing the bonuses instead of 6.5%...

I imagine you will still be able to use the points for tournaments.

35% rakeback = Q gear. Rakeback is better than VIP program unless you are at K or A gear i recon?

Do VIP points earned for winning SNG's count towards VIP status?

I believe VIP points won in SNG's or the extra ones obtained during double VIP point days do not count towards VIP status.

I'm mid session, but just to get you guys started...

7th - 500 pts for $5 = 1 to 1
8th - 750 pts for $12.50 = 1 to 1.6
9th - 1000 pts for $20 = 1 to 2
10th - 2000 pts for $50 = 1 to 2.5
J - 5000 pts for $150 = 1 to 3
Q - 10000 pts for $350 = 1 to 3.5 RB level
K - 15000 pts for $600 = 1 to 4
A - 20000 pts for $900 = 1 to 4.5

$6262.50 = 162750 pts max value

You get extra VIP pts for winning a sng?
05-31-2011 , 07:00 PM
Technically the numbers are backwards, should be 1.6 to 1, 2 to 1 etc, but you get the idea.

Something else to think about, RB players will no longer be able to exchange points for cold hard chedda.

There are SNG's that award points, instead of cash. (Sorry if I'm hijacking the thread)

There are a couple of SNG's that you can enter with cash or VIP points and the prize pool is paid out in VIP points.

Yes, rakeback is a flat 35% now instead of 41.5%.

Thats not including any bonuses you may be clearing though.

All in all, it seems like a fair deal.

Do VIP points won in a VIP points SNG (entered either with cash or existing VIP points) count towards VIP status?

It is a bit more since you can still use VIP points for tournaments.

Ok. So will rakeback players still earn points? That they can use for donkaments I mean?
05-31-2011 , 07:07 PM
OK, so are all the promos still intact except the Fast Lane Rakechase and the 500-5x SNG?
