Was live chat available at the time you emailed? I think live chat maybe a little faster. Or you should pm RPMSeth he gets things done.

Offer bitcoins as a withdrawal option.

It gets around the processor/check problem if I can convert my balance to bitcoins and receive them from merge. Then convert to USD using MtGox or dwolla account.

Pros: Quick transactions, Low transaction cost
Cons: Currency volatility risk.

Didn't feel like live-chatting. Maybe I should have.

I didn't PM RPMSeth...but I included his manager e-mail address on the e-mails I sent to support.

Again, this really isn't a big deal. Just the super-fast-speed of the deposit processing kind of made me chuckle after I gave up hearing back on the e-mails on a super-simple request.

I feel your pain Bob. I qualified for Overdrive last month, and finished clearing my last bonus around 4 days ago. I also qualified for at least one other $100 bonus during the month of May that I'm aware of (possibly more). At first I didn't think it would be that big of a deal that Overdrive wouldn't be applied, as long as the May bonus would be applied. It was my understanding then that whenever the Overdrive bonus was applied to my account ($1500) it would nullify any existing bonus.

I'm fine with this, just as a high volume player, I always want to be clearing a bonus. As a RB player it obv takes longer to clear, so 4 days of play without any credit to bonus is kind of annoying.

Even more annoying is that I was told that Overdrive would be applied on the 1st or 2nd to my account. When that didn't happen yesterday I went to live chat, and they told me it would be taken care of within 30 minutes. Here we are over 24 hours and still no bonus, I talked to live chat again and they told me it would be taken care of ASAP, with no definitive time frame. I'm a big boy and rather just be told, hey we're not getting around to this any time soon, instead of being repeatedly told that the issue would be handled tomorrow.

Anyway, let me echo Bob's sentiments and say that I also enjoy playing on the site, and am hoping you guys get whatever issues you've been having lately sorted.

In the spirit of the thread, and my post, my suggestion would be to have bonuses automatically applied to accounts. Possibly a queue, where you could see bonuses that haven't been activated yet. So if I had a $100 bonus, it could be listed as active with % cleared. Then below that, I could have my $1500 bonus, that would be listed as inactive. Also, it would help greatly if you could have some kind of real time bonus meter, instead of a page that updates maybe once a day.

Hey MicroBob, I am shocked and surprised to see you did a player to player transfer! You would have never done that on Stars or Tilt haha. Seriously though, PM RPM Seth and he will get back to you right away. Also, if you go to the actual RPM website you can instantly chat with RPM John. Nice to see you playing on RPM, now if only I can guess your user name.

3. Speaking of text, the chat box is also too cluttered. It should be blank when only player chat is displayed. Nobody ever looks at the chat box to find out who won or what their hand is/was. We have the in-game hand histories for that.
#2 There actually is a way now. hover your mouse over the players name and it will show beginning balance.

#3 +1

Haha. Thanks.

Will do that for the future. FWIW, I'm not really one to need to communicate with cust-service hardly ever. But it seems like there might be more of that necessary on RPM. If you want a Sunday ticket converted to nightly $109 thing for example. And if you weren't credited for one of your promo things from the previous week or something.

Feels like you guys might have to go through all the promo stuff and credit each manually or something which I would guess is kind of a pain especially with more customers now. Automating it somehow would probably save you guys a bunch of headaches. I've been credited with a couple of my promo things from last week but not yet for a couple of the others.

Do the Fun step tourney tickets expire? Cause I had a few before and then they disappeared.
06-07-2011 , 09:11 AM
I think they have an 8 day shelf life.

Please, double rebuy option!

BBJ rake is ****ing brutal. Reduces RB to about 27%. Yeah you might win, but you prob wont.

I vote to get rid of it, who's with me

An RPM Player just hit the BBJ and earned $51k about 2 weeks ago!

Seth,

It would be really cool if we could use multiple $11 tourney tickets in the satellites. It looks like they all award tickets into the $100K, so basically we could play one satellite every 3 weeks with our tickets. (I'm almost certain that to play them correctly you need to rebuy immediately and then add on at the first break.) I'm sure it would increase traffic to the satellites, attracting tourney players who want to take advantage of us cash-game donks, and I think it's a fair value for playing 3K hands on 3 separate Tuesdays.

Thanks in advance for your consideration.

that's interesting... I use mini mode, not tiled, and when I open more tables than my usual number, it defaults to regular mode.

Bad Beat Jackpot Payout Schedule:

* 35% to loser of the hand

* 17.5% to winner

* 17.5% table share

* 10% to Merge

* 20% reseeds jackpot

This sucks

Meh, I don't think it's a big deal.

Playing with just the ticket (no rebuy or add-on) isn't a huge loss in EV I suspect.

And you are getting $11 for 3k hands and there are a fair number of people doing this at micro-stakes to essentially turn it into a 200%+ rakeback situation or something. So I think that even if it is so important to re-buy and add-on it's still an okay deal to basically give the first $11 off of the $31 you spend on the tourney. $31 in tourney value for the price of $20 is still good too.

I don't think it's asking too much of the players to put some of their money into the system on some of these. That said, I will very possibly just be playing the sat ticket without taking the rebuy and I don't think that's a bad deal at all.
06-09-2011 , 04:21 PM
So the $11 tickets are only good for the sats? Also not good for rebuys or add on?

Bob you have a point about using some of one's own $, but considering I would not play in these without the tickets makes your point less sharp for myself and many others.
06-09-2011 , 04:59 PM
I just checked. The rebuys and add-ons are $10..not $11. So if they were to allow you to use the $11 ticket for a $10 rebuy that would be an EV hit too. And it's my hunch that the EV hit doing that could be worse than the EV hit of just playing one ticket alone as if it were a freezeout. But it does allow you to use up your tickets faster and try to combine them in order to more quickly convert them over into a win to the target tournament.

But I do think that if you are roughly even-money at these satellites it likely isn't that big a deal in terms of EV. It's more a time thing. I'll just have to open the satellite thing on the side and blow through my $11 tickets one sat after another to get rid of them (and hope for an occasional win 1 out of 10 times).

Even with the time thing though: You can very easily go for a fairly early double-up with some of the over-aggressive rebuy donks so you aren't spending too much time there. Double-up successfully means you now take it seriously...and there's your rebuy for you pretty much. Get knocked out means you haven't wasted much time on it. And this wouldn't be a big loss in EV either.

It might actually be an EV gain for you to NOT rebuy and just see if you can get a favorable hand against the crazy guy who is shoving every other hand at the beginning.

I understand why people would want to play the rebuys precisely properly but wouldn't want to spend their own money to do it. But I really don't think it's that big a deal or that incorrect to just approach them a different way.

I don't know if this has been mentioned yet, but being able to assign color-codes to opponents would be the nuts. I think Stars and Tilt both have this feature.
