All the stars represent are just how many hands/how often you've played. The more hands you play you will begin filling up 3 bronze stars, then three silver, then finally three gold.

They don´t reset. (as far as i noticed)
You should have 3 golden stars soon.

I think its one gold star per 1k.. When i started this morning i had about 2500 hands in and two and a half stars...

I have what looks like a silver star now with over 4000 hands.

I think this only applies to cash games. I've onty ever played SNGS and MTTS on RPM and I have 0 stars

I kind of like it that way

Uncheck "show accolades" should hide them from others.

But, um, how do you see your own stars? :-P I cannot see mine no matter what setting I use.

General tab on the Settings Screen

"Show My Accolades (Stars)"

Each star means how many yrs of therapy you need, the color of the stars means if u need normal help or heavy duty help

...
