On January 3rd, Nakamura and So are playing in a chess.com Death Match. Should be pretty fantastic to watch two top 10 players go at it.

I was watching Nak playing bullet on Chess.com today, beating IM Yak 4 games in a row. He declined another rematch from Yak, stating "I have to prepare for an opponent of a higher level" and than stated So was that opponent. He received a lot of grief from the kibitzers for his somewhat rude statement.

Crushing win by Naka. He really obliterated So in the Bullet portion. Chess.com commentators kept talking about a potential So vs Carlson Death Match, but I doubt Chess.com has the financial resources to organize that kind of event. Hopefully, Sinquefield will pay for their two to meet up in a blitz match.
