even after you win the piece it's a draw.

The easiest way for white to get it would be to keep the B, play g3 and put the B on the h2-b8 diagonal. This way black can't advance his pawn or create anything so it's an easy draw.

When he keeps the N he should still have a draw. mostlikely putting the N at f3 will ensure it.

however after 47 Nd8 Kd5 will trap the knight after Rf8. Nb7 Rb8. Na5 Rb5. But if he plays correct I would think it's a draw even after 45.

Well, I don't really know for sure, but I did play around with a 6-man tablebase: http://www.k4it.de/index.php?topic=egtb&lang=en

Problem is, you don't have 6 pieces left until move 61 (then it is a draw). But I took the position at move 45 and removed your pawn -- mate for black in 31 moves. Not sure how that changes with the pawn put back.

In this thread, I analyzed two endgames, including a game with a knight and seven pawns against a rook and four pawns.

As was mentioned, you missed a chance to win by trapping the Knight with 47.Kd5. In general, when you have an opponent's Knight isolated like this in an endgame, you should try to find a way to trap it, or at least keep it from getting back into the game. Once the Knight gets back to f2, I don't know if you have a win any more - the position needs more careful analysis.
