Lost to a 1900 rated player otb. I missed a very simple tactic. Magnus Carlsen would not lose to this chump. I know I am not Magnus Carlsen but in my mind I am. And actually a big better.

Unfortunately it is not about the mouse though mine is pretty old. But the positions I get. Ooh just more practice I guess.

i'm not sure what the best chess mouse is but i just got this mouse for poker:

(i play mainly SNGs)
I set numpad#1 for 33% pot-sized bet, 2 for 50%, 3 for 82%
4 to fold, 5 to 100%PSB, 6 to shove

still deciding if i want one for call.

btw the mouse has 5600 DPI

I have the same mouse, but set all the buttons to call.

Holy crap, you have your fold hot key right next to a bunch of % pot bets??? That seems really dangerous, but maybe the picture doesn't do the mouse justice.

don't worry the mouse came with these little rubber things u can stick on each pad to make it easier to differentiate so i just put one on 4 and 6. the idea is that after a while i wont need them anymore and could remove them.
also the 4 pad is where my thumb rests by default so it's right under it, for the % bets i have to move my thumb.

rememebr folding in SNGs is rarely as costly as betting incorrectly, and those %bets don't automatically bet for you, they just set the correct amount, u still have to click bet. (unless you want it to bet but that can def be costly)

Ha, yeah that's what I was worried about. I could just imagine 24-tabling and trying to fold only to find I just accidentally bet pot. Could be a disaster in a SNG. Makes sense with the rubber additions. I just use the keyboard but if I could do the same things with my mouse, that'd be really handy. Good luck at the tables and I'd love to hear an update on the mouse if it works well

it's working as expected, might take some getting used to but I have no complaints.

one thing to keep in mind is that if you're using your mouse somewhere else like in a browser or another program, then you need to click back on ur poker table for the hotkeys to work there. i guess that's basic common sense but in the heat of battle you might forget and keep pressing fold when the mouse is on the browser not the poker client.

btw I use it with tableninja (tableninja.com) which is highly recommended for multitablers.

before I had this mouse I used this gamepad for most of my hotkeys (mainly for folding):

it's also highly recommended but of course not really necessary if you have all the buttons on ur mouse. it's just comfortable to relax your left hand on it and fold with your thumb.

for those considering a mouse for poker/games/speed chess, I recommend getting a wired one with a high DPI and also a good large mouse pad with a wrist pad, not those lame office depot/walmart/target types.
the razer site has good ones including double sided ones where one side is for speed and one is for control

became student chess champion in my country (H) had also a bit arguining, because in the tie-brake match we played armageddon (i was black) and when he had only one pawn left, i took it in my hand and then took my queen and he shouted: time!
A lot of arguining, but due to the rules and international practise the judges decided to give me the first place. anywho - video if it (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HqeiU...layer_embedded)

Hmm my first opinion would be that you lost the game on time. Are there really some rules that say otherwise?
