How did that happen more than once to you?
It happened to me one time: I just didn't see the winning move (not difficult) and even expected a draw offer at the time, but I made the mistake of not thinking about the position long enough after he offered because he was 2700. This experience was so much more tilting than losing any game because of a blunder. Therefore I'm pretty confident that this won't happen again to me.

Sorry, I don't believe it.
Did you even read my post?

The games I played with Tal were at 5-2 time odds; I was then a 2300 OTB player myself, and have no doubt that he would have wasted me straight up. He was bleeping unbelievable, and I never saw anything like it in top American GMs I faced, though Dzindzi was terrific.

You know that youre supposed to score about 18% with play on even terms vs a 2600 player if you are correctly rated, rigth?

Don't you think that Tal was quite a bit stronger than 2600 of today's ELO, and that he was known as a ridiculously strong Blitz player?

Yes, Tal was extremely strong at blitz, but keep in mind that during his last five years or so, he was never rated higher than 2550-2600 and a shadow of his past. He was 55 when he died but looked more like 85.
Also a 2300 win vs a 2550 is really no big upset as I already said.

He looked more like 101 and indeed 2550 vs. 2300 is about 4:1 odds, so it is possible. The question is to what extent blitz ratings reflect classical ratings. He was probably a better at blitz than an average 2550 GM and you are probably better at blitz too.

He looked quite bad for sure but didn't he win or place highly in a very strong blitz event months before his death?

Also, it's not clear if perfidious was rated 2300 back then or today, which makes quite a bit of a difference i assume.

Days or possibly weeks before our encounter, he'd won the world blitz championship at St John, defeating Vaganian in the final by 3.5-.5, an event which had, amongst others, Kasparov, who won the preceding year.

To clarify, I was then 2300; I haven't played a game of chess since spring of 2001, so would likely be about 1250 Elo now(on a good day).
