-So, what does this all mean? The life of Jesus gives the believer eternal life. God is offering men eternal life. Believe in Jesus. Look to Jesus. He does not perish.

I was reading I Thes 5:22 which says "Avoid even the appearance of evil." This is the main reason I feel I cannot gamble.

Poker, like any other game, can be played for money. This includes chess, checkers, go, and backgammon. These can be done individually, in tournament play, playing at home with friends, on the web, and in casinos.

Casinos have the appearance of evil. A casino offers free alcohol and prostitutes hang out there. A casino is no place for a Christian to be.

Even the Lotto is tainted. Too much money can corrupt anyone and winning too much will bring in corruption.

-Jesus is bold…On the last day of the great feast Jesus stood up and cried out “If anyone is thirsty let him come to Me and drink…he who believes in Me, his innermost being will flow rivers of living water”

-Some believed in Jesus and some did not.

-So, what does this all mean? Well, God’s role for Jesus is in part to have Him communicate that He is doing God’s will, by God’s authority. And that will is to call out to men, “come to Me…come to Me…I’ll give you Life”

I was reading John Chapter 7 Verse 24..."Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgement."

You are not in a position to tell Christians where they can or cannot be.

I do agree with you, though, that a casino is no place for you. By the way, a strip club is no place for me.

Now I want to make something real clear to everyone. Imposing positions like Super Eddy's is what Table 23 allows us all to avoid. Table 23 is a place where you can learn about God. God is the focus. Table 23 is not on a mission to make gamblers of men...but God followers. Table 23 is not going to get hung up by men and there positions. Table 23 is going to rock ttdid, Lord willing.

-Judgement is in the hands of God. Jesus being the Son of God (still God in the flesh by the way) is free of sin and in a position to judge. But, "God did not send his Son into the world to condemn it, but to save it...John 3:17"

-Jesus says, "Father who sent me"..."Speak just as the Father taught Me"..."I always do the things that are pleasing to Him"..."I speak of what I have seen with My Father"..."told you the truth that I heard from God"..."whoever is of God hears the words of God"..."I honor my Father"

-So, what does this all mean? Well, Jesus is in a pretty unique position to say the least, ha. I'm just glad He isn't casting stones but calling men to Himself, and therefore away from sin.

There are objective and subjective aspects of Christian faith. The objective elements are the outward aspects such as fellowship and the Word. The subjective elements are our prayer and inner feeling of God's presence.

In the dietary laws a clean animal is one that chews the cud and has a divided hoof. These are highly symbolic. The animal that chews the cud symbolizes a believer that enjoys spiritual food (subjective). An animal that has a divided hoof can walk a straight line. Symbolically, they can follow rules (objective). Both are needed for the proper Christian life.

A practical way to get the subjective experience is to call on the Lord. See ROM 10:13. That is to pray "Lord Jesus" in such a way as to savor the words.
Say the words slowly and feel them in your heart. Do this in the morning and repeat this ten times or so.

(Atheists: Do this to get saved! It works!)

-Jesus heals a blind man. The act is well reviewed by Pharisees and others, including the parents of the blind man. The man that was healed continually confessed the work of God up until the Pharisees kicked him out.

-Jesus says to the Pharisees, "If you were blind, you would have no sin; but since you say, 'We See', your sin remains."

-So what does this all mean? Well, we should understand our state before God (i.e. we are in sin) in order to be saved. We must surrender our own position on the matter if it is in disagreement God. We must be teachable as well.
