Some things never change.

I come back to this thread for the first time in a long, long time. And what do I see within ten posts of starting to read?

Splenda talking about not posting in this forum!

She's legit said that well over 100 times. And that's a conservative estimate.

People can't change their minds? I owe atheists nothing.

I really like reading the theists that I've known for years on here.

So put me on ignore if you're agitated. I usually don't even read atheist ideas any more. Atheism is bankrupt, personally, socially and politically imo.

If atheists wanted an exclusively atheist forum they should have named it as such.

Atheists aren't going to deprive me of my theist friends.

Would you let another group deprive you of your friends and family? If you would you should have moved to an atheist country by now and made this forum unnecessary.

There's something wrong if you class people who post on an internet forum as 'friends'.

That's far from the leading indicator that there is something wrong with her.

Haters gonna hate...shouldn't the two of you be taking your ***** off to red China or Sweden permanently now since you think you can dictate the coming and goings of theists?

I think you both should try a closed atheist society before acting like bouncers on here.

Husker's a noob to RGT (unless you're another sok puppeteer?) and Schwallie's not a prolific RGT poster.

I am not subscribed to other threads because of you. I want to learn more about the gospels but you have led me to believe that maybe Christianity isn't right for me if its supporters act like you do

The Gospel is the greatest charity ever.

Is charity suppose to be diluted or disguised?

And don't go around blaming people. Be an encourager instead of a critic.

A critical spirit is self defeating.

I just made a general point that could apply to anyone.

Oh, and I don't know what's so bad about Sweden. It's seems a pretty decent place to live to be honest.

Hi Splendour..

My introduction to RGT was reading Thomas Acquinas Summa Theologica 17 years ago particularly about the nature of God. Anyway I wanted to share this recent insight:
the nature of God is relationship, which I have reduced to God IS relationship; his BEING is relationship. This understanding is in relation to the theological concept of God as trinity.

I know the consequences of understanding God as trinity are at complete variance with an understanding of God as Father creator alone. This statement reduction God is relationship could just as easily have been included in the bible next to Johns statement that God is love.

16 is the biblical number for love.

2 is the number for division.

I'm just defending people's right to consider God's eternal promises.

Is defending someone's rights being critical?

It can be. Criticism when done well is part of a comprehensive asset system for a postmortal educator. It is, however, a difficult skill to learn well.

kurto,

lol.

First, you are on ignore lol. I saw you reply right after me so I figured I'd take a look.

Second, wtf are you talking about? YOU are the one who speaks of leaving all the time. No atheist on this board has ever said anything about wanting an atheist only site. No one is trying to deprive you of your theist "friends."

But you thrive on feeling persecuted so this post of yours shouldn't surprise me one bit.

I agree. Like the boy who cried wolf; if you say you are leaving enough times and yet don't leave, you are bound to find people who call you a liar when you don't leave ... and then don't leave after another proclamation, then another. But then you are surprised when you say it's time to let yourself "die", and yet then come back again, and are sooo offended when someone makes fun of your reprise. Give me a break.

It reminds me of the Jehovah's Witnesses who have predicted the end of world, what about 4 times now, but, for this next prediction, we should really, REALLY believe they are on the money. However, if that prophecy fails, we should then really really REALLY, believe they know for real they are right THIS time. Right?

No. You are being here and throughout the forum critical of atheists and anyone who doesn't agree with you.

As a sympathetic uncle would to a narrow-minded nephew.

Haters gonna hate, whether they're spitting rhyme or using $10 words.

Same thing either way. Even if Splendour is prone to histrionics, it comes out of a position of frustration rather than pure drama.

Either you get her or you don't. And apparently many of you don't.

Which is a shame really. She offers this forum so much value.

To be honest, you're one of the few people who have asserted as much. I've been at the forum for 6-7 years with her and her reception has been relatively consistant; most people think when they first meet her are convinced she's a troll, she's posted bigotted (be it racist or homophobic) material repeatedly, she doesn't discuss things, she (to use your word) is a 'hater', she is incapable of following a discussion, she regularly engages in histrionics, she denounces logic and science when it contradicts what she believes, etc.

I'm truly glad that you find value in what she contributes. Though I think its pretty rude of you to assume that people who don't find value in her to be the "narrow minded" ones, especially if I don't believe you've been around to experience the full history of her (and the other alternate IDs she had when she used to pretend she was someone else agreeing with her other IDs.)

To each his own.

Thanks for the tip.

I'm such a slow learner and come across histrionic online like Frank, I suppose.
