That's only your outside covering.

You still need a supernatural agent to keep you white as snow on the inside.

Read the bible. It says humans are fooled by appearances. But God isn't.

Atheism, the smart man's juvenile delinquency. I think I just coined a phrase.

Splenda has stumbled upon yet another phrase that has been proven to bother some of the atheists, so we will now see her use the same phrase over and over again in thread after thread.

Expert trolling. Jesus would be proud.

I've been trolled pic'd thousands of times.

That doesn't count as juvenile delinquency?

Why didn't they show some self control and not post in the thread? Why read a thread by me at all if you can't refrain from posting pics?

gskowal just posted a vomit pic in my Doctrinal Grids? thread.

If he doesn't care about mine he should at least have thought of other posters sensibilities before posting a vomit pic.

Lol...Hopey I bet you're a great father. You re-think all this stuff.

"For the unbelieving husband has been sanctified through his wife, and the unbelieving wife has been sanctified through her believing husband. Otherwise your children would be unclean, but as it is, they are holy."

I bet God has already covered you through a wife or mother. Why don't you cover them back?

We're the ones that fool ourselves into thinking God doesn't have everything covered. These silly little worrying minds we have. God says "be not afraid" 389 times in the bible.

Man I really enjoy discussing religion and want to read this but Splend just ruins it for me. Everything is circular logic. Its right because the bible says so. Who says the bible is right? Well, the bible does. Here are more asinine bible quotes for you buddy.

Just can't take it anymore, he has single handedly ruined my want to learn more about the subject. Pretty sure that's the opposite of what the bible says to do

How do you know God doesn't intend circularity in logic.

Everything comes from Him and everything goes back to Him.

This world is just a confusing interlude that you have to make the most of but sometimes it's beautiful.

How do you know?

How do you know?
Why do you turn around questions without pondering them?

How will you ever begin to understand God if you can't hold the deep questions in your heart and let Him speak to you?

"Harden not your heart as they did in the provocation."

"Thou art weighed in the balance and found wanting."

The difference between Saul (a hardened heart) and David (a repentant heart).

Want to know what all this means? Well read it and don't get offended and don't ask any questions. Just ponder it in your heart.

Harden Not Your Heart
by George Kirkpatrick

http://www.newfoundationspubl.org/hardnot.htm

I do believe we can never know God's Truth if our hearts our hardened because we just don't listen with only our ears and our minds to the Word of God. We also listen with our hearts and it can't hear Him if it is hardened. His Word certainly can't impact us if our own hearts are hardened.

So if your heart was hard before reading God's Word you probably never even heard him. No wonder you can't show any respect for Him.

This is exactly what you do every time somebody poses a difficult question about your religion. Instead of actually pondering the question, you just rattle off yet another bible passage (or even worse some lyrics from a christian rock song or whatever) and act like you've answered the question.

I await my bible quote.....

Because its not god speaking to me, its some unknown person on an internet forum that is making these claims, so I am asking, how do you know that this is the way things are? Also, whenever someone says something, you often say "how do you know god isnt X", so I am asking, how do you know god is X?

edit: where X is some speculated property or action of god

Stop asking questions and learn to ponder.

I'll tell you why.

Pondering slows us down and it has a heart softening element. Look at Mary when she's told God wants her to be the mother of God. What does she do?

She doesn't raise an objection or question the angel. Instead she ponders before deciding.

Mary looked at everything she possibly could mentally before deciding.

She knew in advance of accepting God's offer of being the mother of God that she most likely would be rejected and considered an outcast by other people but that didn't stop her from accepting God's offer because she knew He was good.

You need to learn how to ponder to develop godly thinking. Never let someone else try to take charge of your intellectual ability by raising objections before you've thought everything out including the consequences.

Mary got to be the Mother of God. People have been extolling her work of acceptance for generations.

Make sure you ponder and don't lose any opportunities being offered to you by God.

You probably do because everyone does. But when you focus on the wrong things you can't solve the problems of the human heart.

Mary's heart was already right with God or he would have never of chosen her to be His Vessel.

People in this world have all sorts of problems getting their hearts right with God. That's why repentance is such a big theme and the delivery of the Holy Spirit to mankind is such a mystery.

I always approached the atheists on here like people and they always went for my heart by insulting me very personally. Mockery is always a sign that your heart is not right with God.

We have to learn to ponder so we can break the evil bonds the world tries to tie it up with and go on to live the abundant life that God promises us. If we can't live that life then we will become a hater over time.

Being critical isn't so wonderful. Bad things come from thinking critically as well as good things.

What we really need to get critical with in this world is ourselves.

Here's the best thing to focus on:

Ponder it.

I'm not confused about this.

The person that questions the most is usually the most unenlightened.

Why don't people let God enlighten them with His Word. It has to be a heart state. They don't desire God enlighten them because some other sin or evil person is controlling them.

The people that learn from God first desire to hear from Him. It's called having a "holy desire". It oftentimes expresses itself as a still quiet voice. You have to be pondering to hear it. Not arguing and raising objections. The voice usually comes from inside our being.

You're an outsider looking in.

Like someone watching tennis who doesn't play.

Try playing tennis before you comment because you don't know.

God's Way is a crucible and a cross. Only the brave risk going into the fire.

Its pretty easy to see that you are not enlightened, whether I am an outsider looking in or not. You do not exhibit the signs of enlightenment, clarity, honesty and truth.
