Jesus Christ - Islamic Messiah? Jesus Christ - Islamic Messiah?

Just want to clear something up.

In the "Rizeagainst Banned?" thread a (possible) Muslim appeared and, after taking offence at something trivial supposedly directed at Islam, stated:

Quote:
... I believe that Jesus was a false prophet and that Muhammad is the true son and messenger (of God).
My understanding is that Jesus Christ (and indeed, all previous "Messiahs" recognised in the bible) are honored by Islam.

From Wikipedia:
Quote:
In Islam, Jesus is considered to be a Messenger of God and the Masih (Messiah) who was sent to guide the Children of Israel with a new scripture,... the Gospel.

If this article is true (and this is what I've believed in my (admittedly) superficial understanding of Islam) then twofingerted really should study his religion in more detail before getting offended.

It was a false muslim/troll account. In the quran Jesus is a prophet and the messiah, but he is not the son of god and he is not god.

You can't be a muslim and claim Jesus is a false prophet. You can however claim that the (common) Christian belief that Jesus is divine is blasphemy.
