The only reason it is immoral and considered immoral to MOST humans now days is because at one time we were told NOT TO do it anymore and this has passed down through ALL societies.

Originally the ONLY way that man could procreate was like the animals, Adam and Eve had children and those children had children with themselves. This is simple to understand.

Eventually the genetics of man would become to weak by all the inbreading so GOD said it was ok but now its time to stop, no more of this within a certain distance of relation.

When exactly, did god say it was OK, then change the rules? I'm just trying to get the time line correct. Was it before or after the flood? I ask because after the flood Noah's family is in pretty much the same boat (pardon the pun) as Adam and Eve.

He set it up this way and then He made it a law that they could not anymore, Moses is the one who gave the law to the children of Israel. They were to be the example and standard for all the nations. Moses was after Noah.

How come harmful recessive alleles still exist?

A few of the Christians on here have mentioned that there were people living at this time other than Adam and Eve and their family. Adam and Eve were the first humans created by god, but presumably god created other humans after creating Adam and Eve.

When Cain is banished from the Garden of Eden, he's worried that people he encounters outside of the Garden of Eden will try to kill him. God gave him the "Mark of Cain" to protect him from these people. He ends up living in the Land of Nod, where he later has numerous children. Since he was banished from the area where his family lived, he must have reproduced with women who were not of his family.

Sorry, but that is a bit vague. I'm looking for a verse in the Bible that says that incest is acceptable during the time of Adam and Eve, and then the later transition point where the old law is thrown out.
