So this God, the one who is the set of physical laws that govern the universe - the universe we are a product of - cannot satisfy the emotions, that are a result of the laws that produced the life it did?

hmm

It's a different set of emotions he is talking about. This type of God does not satisfy your want for afterlife, a father figure who is watching and listening out to our prayers, etc. When it comes to these sets of emotions this God is "emotionally unsatisfying". Christians , Muslims, Jews, they don't believe in that type of God, they believe because the belief in a GOD who is their father , who cares for them , etc satisfies their emotions, I'm pretty sure that for them a God who is simply physical laws would not be "emotionally unsatisfying".

If that's the case, I would think that God would give humanity some chances to, you know, learn from our mistakes. That's why, I would think at least, the Abrahamic religions almost seem like iterations of the same religion throughout different time periods.

I think I understand that, it's just that I don't understand how it's not recognized that we transcended the universe if this is the case. From the universe comes a species that can comprehend the universe, while the universe has no comprehension of that species. Is that plausible? It's one of those does the Earth exist because of our imaginations or do our imaginations exist because of the Earth? type questions.

No, I think this concept is completely unknown to anyone who writes here in RGT. Next thing will be that someone claims all religious beliefs (or atleast some of them) point in the same direction because they are similar....which I think will require national media to be alerted.

Spoiler:
My apologies for the sarcasm...but this question has a fairly obvious answer, does it not?
